Councils have narrowed our roads in order to make way for cycle lanes that nobody ever seems to use. There are far more motorists on the road than there are cyclists. Crazy waste of taxpayers money once again.

@ESpeaksFreely I just popped in and got fuel while I was doing a shop. No queue, no drama.

Went in to pay for petrol, I’ve just been advised to not do long journeys if possible, and to ensure that when filling up for a journey, to make sure to have enough to get back, as you can now not rely on other stations in unfamiliar areas to have fuel. Lady in front of me in the queue says she was turned away from the Tesco garage because they had SOLD OUT! Queues for garages are spilling out onto main streets, and if you can get fuel, it’ll now cost an arm and a leg. Meanwhile, Starmer was directly asked today if we should start preparing for shortages of any kind, and of course he acted as if there is nothing going on.

Why are we having to pay for an MOT on our cars to make sure they are roadworthy whilst we are driving on roads that are causing damage to our cars because they are becoming unroadworthy? What’s our car tax being spent on?

@InstaSim6 I do, I went to Cadwell park just last month. I can still not like the wasting of taxpayer money that is the abhorrence of surveillance that are average speed cameras, paired with a pointless 10mph reduction on the speed limit to try and fleece money from non-locals in the area

this is illegal in Canada now btw in about 20 years, the UK went from one of the best countries to be a car enthusiast in to one of the worst

Their profits are actually going UP. They aren't struggling, they are printing money because we keep proving we are completely addicted to their junk, no matter what they charge. ​We all want prices to drop, but as a society, we have completely lost the discipline to draw a line in the sand and walk away. ​Why would these corporations ever lower their prices when we keep willingly handing them our money?
