@OV__101 An IUS flight is always fun. Sun probes rarely get much love though. Ulysses, SolarMax, SOHO… there’s no lander, no “surface” to image (you know what I mean), just higher res pics of sunspots, flares and prominences… Not fair, just the way it is.

@GraviticsInc I don’t get it. Inflatables are great for packing density at launch, while hard modules are good for pre-installed equipment and a rigid structure. This seems to be the worst of both worlds. Does the hard shell collapse for launch? What’s the point of this design?

Gravitics modules offer endless possibilities in space with up to 400 cubic meters of usable volume—almost half of the ISS. [thread]

@space_JeffS Yes. And I was citied for it. And our car is probably totaled. And we only have liability. Hence the crippling shame 🫠

I was in an accident today. We are physically fine but I am very sad and shaken and shame-spiraling.

AviationWeather.gov will have a new look and feel on October 16th! New features include automatic screen resizing (looks great on cell phones), dark/night mode, and a full screen interactive map.

First look of our astronaut designates! Well, not faces and that is totally reasonable but watch and imagine: one or more of these men will go to space on an Indian spacecraft carried by an Indian rocket launched from Indian soil in very near future for the first time in history.
Chethan Kumar@Chethan_Dash

#Update #India I have it confirmed. This @IAF_MCC video has actual astronaut designates training for #Gaganyaan. The four test pilots are part of a team from which the final astronauts going to #space will be picked. One of them could even go to @Space_Station next year.

“Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?” - TS Eliot, 1934 Sadly, it’s always been this way…
Tory Bruno@torybruno

@TheEupolemus @OGridPete @Space_Strategy I find strongly espoused, yet willfully uninformed, opinions ironic in the midst of the Information Age.

@nabeelqu Companies like Boeing have had this for decades. Anyone doing research can look through old reports, designs and plans and write papers or even whole books on them.

Legendary companies (e.g. Google, Apple) should have in-house company historians whose job it is to write their histories, interview employees/execs, & curate key docs and memos for posterity. So much gets lost otherwise.

@codyaims Old MiGs are cheap. It’s the FUEL that’s expensive (they are effectively straight turbojets - no bypass to speak of).

Wow. I genuinely have not see the Twitter bot problem be this bad before. It’s literally every 5-10 seconds a bot account is liking a tweet I either made or am mentioned in.
