Apologies I have been totally LOS here for this amazing evening, was busy on Sky News and then Times Radio and now have to sleep and get up and do the Sky News update at 0930 GMT. It’s going to take me quite some time to let this evening sink in. On so many levels. Wow.

Congratulations to Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen for traveling farther from Earth than any human beings in history; you make the rest of us proud! @NASA and their partners have always pushed the bounds of scientific discovery and today is no different. A momentous day for humankind! Safe travels, Artemis II. @NASAArtemis 📸: Commander Reid Wiseman

We sent the best of us. Everyone has experienced loss. The crew sharing a moment this intimate, this real, gives us a chance to feel a raw connection to other humans across a great distance. They're off doing truly alien things in deep space, but I'll bet a lot of people have never felt closer to them. Go hug someone you love because the only universal truth is we never get enough time with them. And the next time you look up at the Moon, keep an eye out for Carroll
NASA@NASA

To commemorate the Artemis II mission, the astronauts announced their suggestion to rename certain features on the Moon to honor the Orion spacecraft, named Integrity, as well as commander Reid Wiseman's late wife, Carroll.

A new "even closer" view of the Moon from #ArtemisII during its flyby on April 6, 2026. The view of the 183-mile-wide Mare Orientale is amazing!

So amazing to be on air on @SkyNews for their lunar flyby special with NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden! 🫶🚀 Welling up that he said a special hello to me. What an absolute legend.

@On_D_Edge Whether or not I say so, this is a real image taken onboard the ISS. If you choose not to believe it you just deprive yourself of the joy and wonder of human achievement.

The photo of Tracy Caldwell Dyson in the ISS cupola from 2010 has been imho one of the most inspiring and wonderful space photos…

Eeek - I might be wrong on that - I think it could have been Reid Wiseman actually. My bad - overexcited and doing several things at once. Still.. it’s the call out from Mission Control that I thought was lovely.

Victor Glover, amazed at what’s he’s seeing through the 400mm camera lens. Mission Control: “Copy Moon joy” 🥰

@On_D_Edge It is quite simple, she has moved her head into that position for a photo.

@MadisonRaeGun Yeah - the ISS is due to be decommissioned in 2030 due to its age. There is a small chance that might get pushed back a little, but the older it gets, the more creaky the structure.
