A black man in America is seen at Target checking out through the self-checkout
Instead of scanning the items, he pretends to put them near the scanner and then quickly stuffs the items into his bag
He puts the items just close enough to the scanners so it looks like he’s scanning them
The worker watches as he does it and does absolutely nothing
We don’t have to live like this. Make self checkouts are actually being removed in major stores because of this type of behavior in places like California

A get a new device from Verizon. I know my bill will go up, the guy in the store says it will only go up $20 per month with no changes. Deal.
I get my new bill, it has gone up $151. I call, they can get me a credit for $11. Not good enough. Stay on hold, can get a credit for $28. Not good enough, I want what was guaranteed.
I’ve been a customer with @Verizon for 26 years, make things transparent, don’t lie, treat customers better.

We have a system that limits each regular beverage to a very generous 40-ounce serving (excluding ice) so we can keep prices affordable for our loyal guests and maintain self-service refills.
Many of our competitors have gotten rid of self-serve soda fountains and free refills. Not us.

I don’t eat at Steak ‘n Shake very often (their transparency and ownership have always been a little weird to me), but a new controversy I just read about is pretty silly. During remodels, they may add a QR code scanner for soft drink refills. Basically, you scan proof of purchase so people can’t just order water and then help themselves to unlimited soda. Some folks are now boycotting because they have to scan their receipt each time. I think it’s a smart move that helps keep people honest. The entitlement is wild, people are genuinely mad about scanning a code for a free refill? Go to almost any other country where free refills barely exist (if at all) and they’d be begging for this system. 😂🥤

@olivegarden Oh well isn’t that just lovely. Started at 20k and never got the option to buy. Only updated to joining queue after waiting for about 30 minutes. I’ve seen lots of posts with people saying they started at 40k and 50k for their purchase.
