@GameSack @dark1x I agree...for a while it seemed everyone had to make an "open world game" while most of the world was filled with boring content. I'd rather they have just focused on the important bits and did those better.

@dark1x I think we need to scale back game development. It's out of control and I believe this is the result of it. Make more games but with smaller teams, smaller budgets, and less cooks in the kitchen. Games would be more focused and less bloated.

More bad news. 2024 is brutal. Not sure what to say at this point but it doesn’t feel like the industry is in a healthy place right now. :-/ What do you all think?

Doing a little late night soldering and assembling PCE2TG16 adapters. Picked up an Andonstar AD407 digital microscope and I really like using it compared to my AmScope Binocular scope. Plus I can easily record video directly from the AD407 without extra hardware.

@kvlly Let us know if you get an employer to realize this. I had one that insisted on utilizing a question for a coding exercise. I was able to get ChatGPT to solve it in a single prompt...I want to learn how they build, design, and solve problems. Quiz-like questions don't show that.

And to make this a broader subject (which will surely get lost because everyone will just see the first tweet) if you’re evaluating a candidate on a single problem that can be solved by AI in 5 minutes you’re capturing only a tiny subset of the candidate.

@KR1573N Notepad++ is constantly on an ever increasing number climb. I'm at "new 16" at the moment...sometimes I actually delete old ones. When I want to organize it, I usually write up something well organized in markdown, or delete the note if it's irrelevant.
