i think the main reason why new york has lost its magic is because people used to not give a shit about what they say and the blunt gruffness was the culture. “we’re all here to get shit done, welcome to the party” but now i go to new york and people are afraid they said “the wrong thing” and worried about offending people. you can’t put those neurotic new york people in a cage it’s a recipe for disaster
