most business growth advice is too vague to use. i’m studying how real startups found customers, built distribution, and created momentum- then turning it into practical breakdowns. follow along if you want actionable insights.

Today my first app completed 100 days. - $41 revenue - 6,300 total users - 5 Active subscribers I know these stats look bad, but everything came from ASO. Zero marketing. Zero ad spend.

Someone on X suggested I improve my onboarding, so I took the advice seriously. After optimizing it, the result was even worse 40% of users dropped off at the login screen.

@GeorgeLampro20 great insight! do you retarget churned monthly users or just exclude them from ads?

Interesting stats for app founders: - My yearly churn for Wrestle Ai is around 52%. - My churn for monthly users by month 4 is 75% So if 100 subscribe by month 4 only 25 will be left still subscribed. This means not only does my yearly subscription front load my LTV and amount to over 50% of my total revenue, but it also has better retained users who will continue to subscribe in year two.

@athcanft how do you compare creative performance? only conversion rate (first click attribution?) or also watch time, ctr, etc.?

if you’re starting out with mobile apps: - build iOS only (android users don’t pay) - scroll tiktok to find viral app idea - copy onboarding & paywall from competitor - use analytics tracking to optimize your onboarding & paywall (mixpanel, superwall etc) - run tiktok ads $50/day to funnel users in to test conversion rates - get CPI to <$1 on ads and install-to-paid to 7-10% - print $$$

An AI calorie counting app called Welmi was doing $30-50K MRR with ads returning 100%+ ROI in week one. They grew to $300K MRR in 4 months. How they did it is kinda nuts. Their ads were printing money but Apple holds App Store revenue for 45 days. So Welmi literally couldn't reinvest their profits fast enough. They were making money they couldn't touch. So they used Adapty Finance to get up to 85% of their unpaid App Store earnings advanced upfront. Applied in one day, had funds in 48 hours, switched to weekly payouts. No fundraising, no debt. Just unlocked money they already earned. Each week's earnings funded the next week's ad spend. That loop took them from $30-50K MRR to $300K MRR. Roughly 6x growth in 4 months with money that was already theirs. If you're running paid acquisition for a subscription app and you're not thinking about cash flow, you might be leaving growth on the table. The money might already be there. Apple's just holding it.

@sparshd610 reposts refers to how many people have reposted your content - not how many times you've reposted other peoples lmk if that answers your Q if or i've misunderstood :)

Yesterday I hit 1600 followers🎉 Didn't have the time to celebrate and I am almost at 1700. I am happy with the growth the past few weeks. Started the month with 1000 and gained 600 more Yet the thing that makes me more proud is how many impressions I am gaining a day. Momma I am no longer talking to myself on X🥹

My app hit $5.3k/m in revenue. In the past 7 days: • ~$400 daily revenue. • $200/day ad spend. If this holds... I'll hit $10k/m in ~3 weeks. What's next: Diversifying my ad creatives. Potentially scale past $200/day.

@averycode congratulations! 40 days of marketing is probably 39 days longer than most builders stick with it 😅

@youravgtechbro so your biggest advise to someone in your shoes is learn how to go viral on socials? isn't that an output goal and not an input goal?

> be me > be stuck at $2k/month app for 5 years > doom scroll X every day feeling like a failure, thinking I was "getting alpha" with latest product releases > actually get shiny object syndrome of different product ideas and switching from an idea too quickly > decide I'm gonna reduce X usage by 90% and stop scrolling on it and lock tf in to build a product and stick to it for a long time and not get distracted by other ideas > spend 2 months building with no users and no customers > go viral on social media in December and scale from 0 to 5k a month in revenue in three months. > make my goals about what I can control (ship every day and market every day) rather than setting goals I can't control (e.g. get to 100k ARR in 6 months) > wtf I crossed 100k ARR in 6 months by just focusing on my inputs > continue generational lock in and stop getting distracted by X and continuing to ship and market everyday

in summary- - only iOS first - app store listing must have good screenshots - name and subtitles critial for ASO - reviews at least 4+ - 12-13 screen onboarding focused on outcome - use proven paywall design - default pricing to match big competitors - download to conversion >3%

1 hours a day spent marketing my app (making + posting 6 videos) 30,000 downloads with this routine last month, 100% free. you too can grow any b2c app for absolutely free, no paid ads. yes YOU CAN. YOU READING THIS. HERE IS HOW TO GET 1000S OF DOWNLOADS THIS MONTH TO YOUR APP FOR FREE: - if you are struggling to get downloads to your app then read this NOW, if you bookmark it, you aren't gunna take action on it... okay lets go. Open new account (instgram or tiktok first, or BOTH) scroll on it for 2 days, 15 min/day in your target audience. Save any videos you see that you could remake to promote your app (yes you'll need to think creatively for this) On day 3, make some content! Based on 1 of the saved videos you have. Make sure the comment, caption or end of video CTA is related/relevant to your app. If you just want views but no downloads, whats the use of this? Start with 1 post/ day and after 30 days of this if you didnt hit a reel with 500k views then feel free to DM me if you need help. Try to see what other apps are doing (can even look at mine) , and keep trying new formats, this is all about testing, but know that it IS POSSIBLE. - Once you find a winning format, double down on it. Each apps "winning format" is unique and this may take more than a month to find a true winner. Took me 300+ videos for my app. Now i post 3 a day on one account and 2 a day on another. Don't rush into posting a million videos. Posting ONE a day that you have put reel creative thought into is much better than spraying out 2,3,4,5,6+ a day. Stick to 1 a day per warmed account (account that is new and you scrolled on without posting for 2 days in your target audience) Aim for short videos as algo LOVESSS watch time and comments. These are your two goals. MAKE content that drives comments and watch time What type of content drives these the best? GOOD CONTENT! not slop. You can go viral if you let yourself try hard enough and keep going. I know you can. and it will be a nice boost to your app downloads and revenue. -- okay now stop bookmarking this and just go do it, open a new account on tiktok/ instagram and warm it up. I prefer instagram as main, then reupload to YT, TT and all others at the same time via @postbridge_ finally yes, the screenshot you see below is from my own tool post bridge. this is how ive been able to post AND MAKE 6 videos a day now after finding a winning format for my app that drives downloads. I upload and schedule all my apps content using this and it takes 10x less time! You can do the same for $9/ month (10x cheaper than the cheapest service out there for this same thing) - HOW TO WARMUP ACOUNT RECAP: Make new account, scroll on it for 15 mins /day for 2-3 days. Scroll, follow, comment and like posts that YOUR APP or product is relevant to only. This helps the algorithm know where to push your content to first. This is CRITICAL for tiktok especially as its hard to change later. You should never buy Old accounts, they suck, and are very hard to warm up or change the existing set audience. I use same email for all my tiktok accounts, most little things dont matter like this. If you dont get views following this then its most likely your content is not that great. Keep trying, and don't be afraid to stop posting for 2-3 days if you cant break 500 view mark on TT or IG. OKAY NOW GO GO GO TRY IT!

Speedrun an app to $10k MRR without burning a dollar on ads 1. study the scroll. spend a week reverse-engineering top apps in your niche on tiktok. copy the format that's winning, not the product 2. build for the viral moment. pick one recordable feature and make it the whole hook, like cal ai scanning food 3. make your app name easy to spell and rank #1 for, or every bit of curiosity you create gets wasted 4. create 3+ tiktok accounts and warm them up for a week before posting anything 5. pick 3 formats to test. one storytime carousel, one green screen demo, one aesthetic app flash 6. write for retention. text-heavy slides make people stay to read, and watch time is what the algo rewards 7. use the app flash. show your app for 1 second inside a bigger video so people flood the comments asking "what app is this" 8. stop selling, start showing. curiosity converts harder than any pitch because they close tiktok and search for you themselves 9. post 3x a day for 30 days. different hooks, sounds, and captions every time. spread it across accounts so it never looks spammy 10. work the comments like a landing page. reply to every "what app" the second it lands, every viewer after sees the answer 11. turn top comments into video replies. the algo serves them to the same people who watched the original. free retargeting 12. web-to-app funnel. send viewers to a landing page first so you onboard and convert before app store friction kills the download
