@JoJoFromJerz Hardly compares to being called Hitler or Nazis. It’s funny how you are outraged when someone throws it back on your side. Of course, you are little more than a paid propagandist who also is an attention whore.

I don’t want to hear another fucking word about how it’s the Democrats who need to “tone the hateful rhetoric down.” Not another fucking word.

@Darlyn215 @BeschlossDC @TruthHrtzz Citing a Democrat biased reporter doesn’t make it true. The decision correctly states that race can’t be a predominant factor in creating districts. That applies to every race.

@danaski56182362 @RBReich Warren, maybe. Lincoln would be horrified at how the Democrats destroyed the family unit and created a government-dependent segment of the black population. He saw Reconstruction as a temporary force for equality.

@RBReich President Abraham Lincoln and Chief Justice Earl Warren have something in common - they would be horrified by the decisions of John Roberts and this Supreme Court. Consider the scars and battles Lincoln & Warren had to bear - a sad day for both of them.

A Supreme Court so fundamentally hostile to the rights of minority voters places the Court at odds with democracy itself. This is the legacy of Chief Justice John Roberts. I opposed his nomination back in 2005, and I stand by that.

@NYCMayor This coming from the “socialist” who is more than happy to deny the inherent property rights guaranteed by our founders. He claims to be a “democratic socialist“ but he is more focused on total power.

Today's Supreme Court decision is a direct assault on the promise of the Voting Rights Act. It risks disenfranchising millions of Americans along racial lines and weakening the very foundation of our democracy. Democracy is not self-sustaining. We must build, preserve, and defend it together. Here in New York City, we will always lead a government of, by, and for the people — all of the people.

@RepJeffries The same “deal” that @SenSchumer correctly said the Iranians would ignore. Nobody claimed it would eliminate the development of a nuke, only delay it (assuming the Iranians followed it). Learn about North Korea’s ”deals” and you’ll see why @BarackObama was a fool on this.

Actually, Iran did sign a nonnuclear deal in 2015 under the leadership of President Obama. You blew it up. Then plunged America into another reckless and costly war of choice in the Middle East.

@RepShriThanedar Then why does killing a pregnant woman result in two homicide charges? Why do people say a woman “lost the baby” when there is a miscarriage? Pushing a narrative that pregnant woman is not carrying another human dehumanizes us all.

New Jersey is so proud of Jamie Ding for his historic run on Jeopardy! Thank you for showing that in Jersey we use our voice to speak up for our friends and neighbors.
Variety@Variety

#Jeopardy champion Jamie Ding slams ICE after his 31-day winning streak ends and says "I hope that immigrants can be seen in a positive light" under Trump's federal government. “I kept hearing how [my run] was bringing people together, and I love that very much. I’ve heard people say, ‘It’s nice to have something positive on TV!’ As an immigrant and a person of color, I was able to become part of the history of an American institution. ‘Jeopardy!’ really is an institution and America’s turning 250 years old and the federal government is going after immigrants in a way unlike anything that we’ve seen in the recent past. So I hope that immigrants can be seen in a positive light too.” (via People) variety.com/2026/tv/news/j…

Trump and Republicans gave ICE an $85 billion slush fund last year. ICE used that money to terrorize Black and Brown Minnesotans through "Operation Metro Surge." Now Republicans want to send this rogue agency another $70 billion. ICE shouldn't get another cent.

@Darlyn215 @gramps_house @BeschlossDC @TruthHrtzz Disagree. Only one party consistently tells people of color, especially black people, that they can only succeed with Democrats “helping“ them. In return, they’ve helped reduce the 2 parent households. The impact on education, wealth, and avoiding crime was the result.

@Darlyn215 @BeschlossDC @TruthHrtzz Just the opposite. The law was designed to prevent racial based gerrymandering, not to force it for any race. This is the correct interpretation.

@JimTragos @BeschlossDC Just the opposite - forcing gerrymandering based on any racial group is not equality. It’s time to focus on being American, not individual races.

@ashangirlphilly @LesBowen You may want to look at the history of Irish Catholics in British controlled Ireland, and in the US (Italians & Poles as well). Also multiple ethnic groups in the Balkans. Jews throughout European history. No race has a sole claim to a history of oppression.

Ya know, growing up in the South in the ‘60s and ‘70s, one thing I would not have predicted is the dismantling of the Civil Rights era in the interest of “fairness” to white people. A lot of good people bled and died for those gains.

@LesBowen The term you’re looking for is equality, not “fairness.” Race can‘t be a predominant determining factor in establishing voting districts. This upsets you because you consider such a district to be a lock for a democratic representative, not because it denies black people.
