If I was the Mayor of Haifa, a city which houses the vulnerable Bahai community as well as tens of thousands of Arab Israelis, I think my response to this letter from Hackney Mayor Zoe Garbett would comprise of a string of four letter words. She has the absolute chutzpah to claim Hackney’s performative politics is about ‘anti-racism’. Chef’s kiss is that she is demanding a response by October 7 - was that date plucked out of thin air? Gaslighting nasty pricks.

No other Cabinet Minister has a theory of the economy, let alone a political economy. At a turning point, Treasury has to turn too.

Co-deputy leader of the Green Party, Mothin Ali, suggests that Andy Burnham "ditched the Labour brand" to achieve victory in Makerfield

This is what a lot of Starmer’s allies wanted to do at Labour’s 2024 conference but even by then with a summer of suits from Lord Alli it was considered too difficult to do rule changes.

Andy Burnham’s campaign team desperately trying to distance themselves from Neal Lawson and Compass. One senior source says: “This is nothing to do with Andy's campaign, it is a Compass project that does not represent Andy. He is fighting to change Labour so we can defeat Reform in this crucial by election.”

Andy needs to distance himself from this nonsense about alliances with toxic parties like the Greens and SNP as quickly as possible: news.sky.com/story/burnham-… We need Labour to deliver in government and win re-election based on its record, not dodgy deals with parties that want to destroy and replace us.
