@TheEcho13 “Can I help you find anything?”
“Yes, this shirt that I have on. Do you have it in other colors?”

@MarcLobliner I’ve seen plenty of very big dudes who don’t BB bench, BB Squat, or deadlift, but still program heavy ass barbell rows… like they can’t quite replicate the results w/ a machine alternative
English

NOTHING BEATS BARBELL ROWS FOR A BIG BACK - AGREE OR NO? ⁉️
Machine are awesome, and the data is clear that machines are just as effective as free weights at building muscle.But for me, nothing grows the posterior quite like heavy rows.
Some body language is fine, but make sure you’re not dry-humping the air to maximize safety and results.

@The_W_Coleman My brolosophy:
40g carbs 40g protein w/in an hour. 0 fat in the pre or post.
If in a deficit I might push it back a bit to fight off late night hunger
Without exception (for me): pre and post within a 5 hour window

I trust BroScience almost over anything. First few years in bros told me about the post-anabolic-window. Where you want to get whey (fast absorption protein, not casein, etc) right after the workout, within 30 minutes.
Do you guys do this? Some days I eat sushi post and I feel like I’m wrecking my post-anabolic-window. Is this nonsense? Should I care? I guess citing some studies may entice me, but really just want more bros BroSciencing.
Tldr, post-anabolic-window whey shake necessity, yay or nay?

“Supplements are just a waste of money you can get it all from food”
Always has been such a low IQ way of thinking.
I know multiple, multiple people who have fixed things on blood work that could have been potentially life ending situations if not addressed with things like nattokinase, citrus bergamot, carditone, etc.
Personally NAC help me get back on my feet & eventually got rid of panic disorder I had as a teenager.
This isn’t even considering the fact that our food supply has a fraction of the nutrients it had generations before & many people are deficient even with great diets.

“Supplements are a waste of money you can get it all from food” BS I’ve been taking 1000mg Magnesium Glycinate and 600mg L-Theanine every night before bed for over a year (Usually have 3g of Glycine also but just ran out) Has been life changing for my sleep quality & recovery

@spencer_macro @ngdpc1 NAC, taurine, magnesium.

And as much as I enjoy the occasional bourbon, no amount of NAC or Berberine will counteract a handle a day.

Talked with a guy yesterday who drank a handle of vodka a day for over 20 years. I mean, damn.

@OLordHear @MrPeach8681 @ZubyMusic He’s referring to exogenous testosterone. Mr Peach here would like you to share with the class whether you stick a needle in your glute or apply a topical to your male parts. lol no one’s business of course. the question itself is a compliment on this side of twitter!
English

Sure.
Barring a serious injury or illness, I am 100% certain I will still be in great shape at 60.

@EC_Barbell_Club @alexfeinberg Nuanced conversation obviously. But the bar of what is “enough for health/longevity” is far lower than the lifting enthusiasts thinks
English

@EC_Barbell_Club @alexfeinberg The guy w/ a 495lb double is no more likely to be able to squat his body weight at 75yo than the 225x10 guy. I’d actually argue he’s less likely to be able to.
