I would propose a simpler solution: stop promising to address individual needs, and be clear that what schools offer is COURSES. There's no "meeting needs." We teach what we teach. If you need extra help, there's a course for that. If you're advanced, take the next course.

staring at a wall for 15-30 minutes a day makes you LOVE DOING HARD WORK. it resets your dopamine baseline, reduces artificial dopamine spikes, and makes tasks that would otherwise feel BORING feel engaging again.

Over 100 million Americans can't read above a 6th grade level. Just insane.
