My son, Saxon, is so based that he would just order milk when we went to dinner in LA. This would always stun the waitstaff, as they had never heard anyone actually order milk! He also unironically ordered a cheeseburger at a very uptight sushi restaurant that doesn’t even allow you to order supplemental soy sauce. When the waiter recovered from this request to reply that they don’t have cheeseburgers, Saxon said “Fine, I will have a hamburger.”

@rwlesq @CartoonsHateHer That doesn't make sense. How do you cancel someone for something 80% of people agree with? How does that work, I mean, practically?

This was a significant problem I had with “cancel culture.” There are probably views that we can and should exclude from polite society - I’m okay not inviting someone to dinner if they’re vocally pro-NAMBLA or want to literally restart the Holocaust - but a lot of “cancellable” offenses seemed to be positions held by 40–80% of the population, and that just wasn’t tenable, even if I was often on the "woke" side of the debate.

One big pet peeve of mine is people who hold incredibly radical views held by under 5% of the population, but still have the gall to be mad at anyone who doesn't agree with them. Like honey this is going to take you forever.

I supported the Venezuela operation and I’m on board with acquiring Greenland because they both pass the only litmus test I care about: Will it be a net benefit to the United States? Venezuela and Greenland are low risk, high reward. Big wins for our people. We gain much and lose little or nothing. Easy call, as far as I’m concerned. I’m not actually an isolationist. I’m just an America First conservative in the strictest sense of the term. Does the benefit for America outweigh the cost? It must, or it’s a bad policy. This is one of my absolute core political principles, and always has been. With this Iran thing, I don’t see how the math works in our favor. Or at least it seems highly unlikely that it will work in our favor. And so I’m against it. If that puts me at odds with the administration, and with much of the conservative commentariat, so be it. I have to stick to what I believe. People who have followed my work for a long time are not remotely surprised by my stance on this.

Today at 825pm, @AnthropicAI writes “we have not received direct communication from the Department of War.” Today: 5:14pm SecWar tweets supply chain risk designation. Today: I call Dario’s business partner at 5:02pm asking to speak to Dario because he hasn’t gotten back to me. She is typing while we speak and likely has lawyers in the room with no notification to me (that’s a guess! CA is a two party consent law so am hoping no laws were broken!). Says she “will try to locate him.” Today: I call Dario at 5:01. No Answer. I message Dario asking to talk as well. Today: Dario sends an email with redlines 3:51pm Today: @POTUS sends Truth at 3:47pm Yesterday: I email Dario comments at 10:54pm. Does this sound like GOOD FAITH?
