Many films overperforming at the #boxoffice but one which is not getting much attention is #TheSheepDetectives. Can we give it a shout out? 3rd wknd down just 4% from 2nd wknd, great legs! Might get to $75M+ domestic. Terrific result for live-action family movie not based on any well-known brand.

Treasonous pig! You think we give a 💩 what kind of “man” he is? You’ve failed the mission! You forgot that he’s not here to be a nice f*cking guy! He’s here to do the hard things his country needs! I don’t need Trump to be a nice guy! I want him a ruthless, killer, who will do anything to win and make this country great! You absolute traitor!

Megyn Kelly: “Trump has cheated on every wife he’s had. He met Marla Maples while he was married to the mother of his children Ivana. Ivana accused him of raping her. She alleged he was so angry over the hair transplant he got that she made him get, it was so painful that he raped her. He winds up with Melania and if you think Trump’s been faithful to Melania, you’ve got bigger issues than I can solve”

If a $100M ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ can top $600M, a $165M ‘Star Wars’ spin-off likely passing $400M is fine for Disney. When ‘Michael’ can pass $800M as ‘Project Hail Mary’ tops $675M, ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ performing essentially on par with ‘Solo’ is okay for theaters. 1/2

@DavidLeninhawk Primarily is fine. Kids who grew up on The Simpsons caught cultural references there first, the same way Looney Tunes taught us about opera and James Cagney.

Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

I fully expected Mandalorian & Grogu to feel like an extended episode of the TV show…but I was a little surprised that it actually felt like 6 episodes of the TV show with VERY obviously identifiable starts and stop points.

@CoreyAtad Ebert was great. But the thing is people don’t want to watch what critics think is a good movie. They want pablum. In their minds a critically acclaimed film is boring.

@CoreyAtad I get what he’s saying, but not everybody watches movies for great art. Some just want entertainment. Breaking the Waves was excellent but it’s a tough watch. Jerry Maguire was much easier to digest. Burger joints are popular for a reason. Not everybody likes fancy gourmet food.

So, #Obsession had an even better second-weekend jump (+30%) than Disney’s 1986 rerelease of ‘Song of the South’!! And... also ‘Titanic’. (It took the 3rd-biggest second-weekend jump ever for any movie opening on more than 2,000 screens but not debuting on or around Christmas)
