Austin voted for a new 20-mile light rail line.
Then costs exploded. The line shrank. Before laying a foot of track, it's among the priciest light-rail lines in the U.S.

@KathyASchroeder @mkelly007 I’ve been to Austin a few times in my life, but only downtown once. I saw a 6’4 man pushing a shopping cart with a cardboard house in it. He had a full beard, wearing a dress and in high heels. This was on 6th street of course, but it was 1996. Unheard of in Texas back then.

The Pease Park troll cost about $300,000 to build, funded by private donors who wanted to create something magical for Austin.
And now it sits burned down. A pile of ashes surrounded by caution tape.
A giant wooden troll where kids laughed, families took photos, and people stopped for a moment to enjoy something whimsical in the middle of the city… gone.
It’s hard not to feel like this is symbolic of something bigger. We build beautiful things in Austin, and somehow we keep finding them destroyed.

Saw people talking about auto attacks in ff14 so I'll share my most hated fact.
A Red Mage, the caster class with a sword, has auto attacks that deal around 2-19 damage.
A Summoner, the caster class with a BOOK, has auto attacks dealing multiple hundreds.

I’ve actually never crashed out on anyone in customer service. They canceled my flight, made me wait in a line for 30+ minutes, then told me to scan a QR code after waiting. I connected with her, explained my situation very nicely and asked if she could help me rebook. She then didn’t answer for 10 minutes, didn’t ask for further details, and immediately said no flights. With no intention of helping me. If I’m a Karen for wanting a new flight after it being cancelled, and then being confused when I get no help…I’ll wear that name proudly! 🎉

as i get older i realize the biggest epidemic is dudes with no real identity if running gets cool they become runners. if tattoos get cool they cover themselves in tattoos. if being sober trends they become born again monks, mullet, coffee snob, golfer, carnivore, cowboy, whatever the algorithm tells them whole personality built out of social contagion thats why these dudes get smoked at everything. everyone can smell the fraud no weight behind anything they do because none of it came from their soul. just trend hopping be something real even if its ugly
