@grab_90 @CosmoSoake81435 Wait so he played last year with this allegation? Not surprising for cfb in general but I’m surprised given how byu portrays themselves. The ice cream tricked me & now I see that they are just another team w no superior morals

@spursttu @CosmoSoake81435 What is not right is after almost 2 years and they don't have enough for trial. While the defense is ready in 7 months. The right thing is to dismiss it. They can still refile in the future but I don't think they will. They don't have enough evidence after 19 months.

This appears to be a picture of Judge Winward enjoying a BYU game. How can a judge be fair and just when he not only graduated with BYU Law School honors but also appears to be a BYU fan? #ParkerKingstonCase #BYU #Utah

Big Ten information and news
2nd post - one of the biggest reasons why the United States is an awesome country to live in is because you can compete for what you can earn. This is 100% anti-competitive and anti-American.
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger

A significant change has been made to the Protect College Sports Act’s anti-expansion provision, sources tell @YahooSports. The provision, at first only targeting SEC/B1G, now applies to leagues earning $700 M in revenue, down from $1 billion. It now incorporates ACC and Big 12.

@spursttu @T876987Tt87 @TaylorBrist @EP__Tex But there's also precedent of the NFL suspending Terrelle Pryor when he entered the supplemental draft to avoid an NCAA suspension. I don't think the NFL particularly likes being a player's fallback plan.

@rcb05 @EP__Tex Correct but then it’s an argument of opinion on what infractions matter most. Playing ineligible players who are older than avg college students is more harmful than what sorsby did imo. Obviously I have the minority opinion but I’d still hold that even if sorsby was arch

@spursttu @EP__Tex Yes the infraction itself, not the minutiae of NCAA/legal proceedings, is - in fact - the entire point.

@EP__Tex @rcb05 “Destroying the very foundation of the game itself” is pretty wild to say when he just placed a few pocket change bets from his dorm. (He didn’t bet ncaaf after IU) Propaganda got its hold on you & not much anyone can do now to change it, good luck in your future endeavors lol

@spursttu @rcb05 Exactly. Players suing over poorly worded rules and inconsistent enforcement to gain a year of eligibility is vastly different than destroying the very foundation of the game itself. That is why Tech sounded so completely tone deaf and why they’re despised.

@EP__Tex @rcb05 Actually they did rule him ineligible right away and then went through the normal appeal process. The steps TTU took were no different than that of a pavia/chambliss case. The only difference is the “crime” committed

@spursttu @rcb05 The point is, Tech should have booted him the second they learned of the betting. Before the courts, before the NCAA… They didn’t. They doubled down and doubled down again. And here we are.

@AuburnBlazer @RossDellenger @YahooSports Wait for Florida State would be PERMANENTLY stuck in the ACC?? They have spent years suing trying to leave. This would destroy the FSU fan base.

@AuburnBlazer @RossDellenger @YahooSports Yes, only difference from previous writing is now the big12/acc cant merge to over power sec or big10 down the road. Previous writing would only restrict sec&big10 from adding teams but now it restricts big12 and acc as well

@rcb05 @EP__Tex I re read it & correct, there’s no order that he must be rostered. BUT there’s a lot of language that would open us up to lawsuits if we booted him. If we told him June 8th to kick rocks he would sue us citing this injunction. The suit would take 4ever and he would go nfl

@spursttu @EP__Tex A) Still doesn't explain why Tech didn't make this decision from the jump B) The injunction 100% did not extend to Tech disciplining a player on their team

Sorsby’s Motion to Dismiss Lawsuit: “On June 15, 2026, Plaintiff was informed by Texas Tech that, notwithstanding the Temporary Injunction Order, the University would not permit Plaintiff to play for its football team.” Cody Campbell YouTube interview: “He [Sorsby] had to make a choice, um, on whether he was going to stay in college or try to stay in college or go in the NFL supplementary draft … .” What a clever way NOT to say “we decided to kick Sorsby to the curb once we realized we’d been out-lawyered by the Big 12.”
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger

QB Brendan Sorsby's attorneys have filed a voluntary motion to dismiss his case in Texas court, stating that Texas Tech informed him on Monday that he could not play for the Red Raiders this season.

@EP__Tex There were Tech fans legitimately trying to claim the preliminary injunction prevented them from removing Sorsby from the team.

@RollToms1988 @flugempire That’s not what it says, it says they ask for the resolution on that topic that gets most buy in. Stripping that section would lead to less buy in from the ~250 schools that currently support.

@robert8588 @TheStevenWillis So you think that there’s no issues with the NCAA enforcement, and that there is just tons of corrupt judges across the US that love football? Interesting theory to say the least. Maybe it’s a projection of what you would do as a judge 🤷‍♂️

@TheStevenWillis Good thing your opinion doesn't mean shit. I may not always agree with the NCAA rules, you may not always agree with the NCAA rules but you making a social media video about it means absolutely dog shit. They're getting beat in court because of local judges. Stupid video.

Do you believe the rules in college sports should apply the same to everyone—regardless of school or conference—or is selective enforcement sometimes justified? Comment "fair" if you think the rules should be equal for all, including Chambliss!

The NCAA is still pushing to have the Protect College Score Act apply to pending lawsuits where its eligibility rules have been enjoined (like the Chambliss case). Aim is to prevent athletes who have been granted injunctions in currently pending cases from being allowed to play.
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger

In a memo to schools, the NCAA highlights two targeted changes to the Senate bill: - broaden the state preemption provision to avoid state laws impacting enforcement - strengthen the applicability section so it applies to pending legal cases over eligibility
