we need to address something seriously
the AI generated images that are completely unacceptable - one depicting a holy religious site disrespectfully and another containing nazi imagery
we gave our AI access to a large dataset of memes and iconic moments with minimal manual oversight on outputs. we don't manually control the generations, but it's clear that approach needs better guardrails.
how it happened:
1. the religious imagery - the AI used a reference photo that included the Kaaba and generated a character in front of it. it doesn't understand the significance of what it's depicting, it just saw a background and used it.
2. the nazi imagery - the AI was generating from a dataset of influential historical figures and included imagery associated with one of them. again, no context awareness, just pattern matching.
both have been removed. neither should have been generated in the first place.
this is a content moderation problem and we're fixing it right now. we're building filters to block religious sites, hate symbols, and other sensitive content from being used as references or generated in outputs.
this is exactly the kind of thing a stress test exists to catch. better now than on launch day with 10x the users.
we take this seriously and we'll make sure it doesn't happen again.
we stand for peace and unity. we meme and we laugh, but we don’t want to offend.

before tapfun, i made over $3M at 21, went quiet for a year, and was shitting my pants about what to do with life
then i vibecoded an app and tweeted about it, it got 200k impressions (whatever that means now)
now i'm building something that generates 100,000 images in one tap
still don't know where this thing is headed tbh, but it's fun to build in public, feels like we're figuring it out together
started with just this tweet

vibecoded an app that turns one image into an entire NFT collection 1. upload pic 2. one click generate 3. AI generates the full collection reply with an image and i'll generate your collection live

naming a product is easy until you have 1000 options
friends, some random advice on picking a product name:
the only question that matters: “will this stick in their brain?”
run every name through these filters:
1. repetition - is it easy to say twice? “zoom zoom” works. awkward to repeat = cut it.
2. rhetorical tricks - alliteration? rhyme? rhythm? “TikTok” sticks. “PayPal” sticks.
3. shock factor - is it weird enough to remember? “Yahoo” is absurd, boring names disappear
4. emotion - does it make you feel something? neutral = forgettable.
5. visualisation - can you picture it? “Apple” is an image, abstract names are harder
anyway i lied this isn’t really advice, i’m just trying to pick from 1000+ suggestions and needed a framework
sleeping on it
