I can’t believe the response my Bernie post received. I was sitting on the couch after dinner feeling excited about the shareholder meeting, and my girlfriend is yelling at me from the other room to come put away my laundry. And nothing. I cheer for the American space industry in general and SpaceX in particular. But it’s okay to say that NG committed to an orbital mission with a payload deploy on launch 1. As much as I love Blue Origin, SpaceX has launched Starship 5 times since New Glenn’s maiden flight 9 months ago all while facing multiple failures and is already moving onto a next generation Starship for refueling, payload deploy in orbit, lunar landing tests, and more. But we are supposed to believe Blue Origin will somehow modify Blue Moon Mk1 into a manned version and launch before SpaceX’s lander which is in a test program that’s moving faster than most current rocket programs while also having started ~5 years ago?

I will repeat this until I am blue in the face… Every Tesla should have FSD included in their purchase price like so many cars have cruise control. Raise the price of those cars about $2000 each. That becomes a 100% take rate. Then you’ll have more people trying it out because it’s already in the car they won’t have to Vex over making this additional purchase or rental decision that cost them monthly. People have subscription fatigue at this point. I include myself in that group. We are financially killing ourselves once subscription at a time. Tesla will get more miles for their computers to gain additional experience. The roads will be safer because more people will be using it. More people will show friends how it works, so then more other people buy a Tesla. The value proposition for owning a Tesla only goes up. With the new models coming out that would be at least 2 million vehicles a year, which would add up to an additional $4 billion in incremental revenue. Obviously that doesn’t take into account current sales of FSD or rentals so that would have to be backed out. But I think in the long-term, it’s a huge win For autonomy and moving the whole system and Tesla forward.

Elon Musk, his Political Activity, and How to Respond Elon Musk's gesture at President Trump's inauguration can only be interpreted as a Hitler salute, and even if it was maybe meant to be a Roman salute or was done out of emotion, it simply represents the National Socialist NSDAP movement from Hitler Germany that was leading Europe into a war of incredible suffering death and destruction of WWII and the Holocaust. To make such a gesture shows insensitivity, ignorance, stupidity, or plain naivety and is neither acceptable nor tolerable. For historical reasons, the sensitivity to a Hitler salute is greater in Germany and Europe than in the USA, but that doesn't make it any better. Such gestures test and shift boundaries, attack moral and social values, and lead to a polarisation of society instead of bringing people together. Such gestures regardless if intended or not are as bad as it gets. And if it wasn't intended an apology would have been needed but as far as I know, we haven't heard one. Many tend now to reflexively declare Tesla, SpaceX, and other Elon Musk companies as right-wing extremists and inhumane and want to boycott the products of the ingenious entrepreneur and innovator and declare that this should deprive the man of his money and resources. The truth is, however, those reflexive emotional reactions to Elon Musk's gesture will not change his values, activities, and influence, but will at most make you feel good because you have supposedly done something about it that you actually didn't. It is true that by selling or not buying Tesla products or Tesla stocks, nothing is done against the gesture and political views, but the employees and managers of Tesla of whom we know that the vast majority of their political views do not support Elon Musk's views. The very people and products that should be supported in order to do something about climate change are being deprived of the same by such a step. A quick reflex action to sell one's Tesla vehicle or not to install the Tesla home battery will certainly create a quick desired relief for many because one no longer needs to justify oneself and argue with family, friends, and neighbors and is no longer involved in unwanted political discussions. However, one has basically done the opposite of what one stands for, namely the attempt to slow down climate change in its acceleration by reducing C02 and that's true regardless if you buy an alternative product f you find one or not. Anyone who believes that billionaires like Elon Musk are deprived of their financial basis by not buying a Tesla product will be disappointed to hear that the sale of Tesla products does not impact Elon Musk's finances at all. The inauguration of Donald Trump and the decrees he signed on the same day demonstrate in many areas a political attitude and orientation that is not supported by the vast majority of the population in Europe or by 48.6% of the US population. We are many. Political opinions vary and it is part of democracy to discuss them with arguments in order to bring about change through discourse. So if you want to speak out against the values represented by Elon Musk or Donald Trump then you should do just that with your friends, family, and neighbors and not believe that a knee-jerk boycott of Tesla products will have any positive impact. The Hitler salute is a symbol that many people are not really aware of in its meaning, impact, and what it and the Nazi movement led to. Sadly in particular in the US the historical knowledge is compared to Europe very small. Only if you understand the history and have studied it i depth you can comprehend how slim the line is and how easily it can be crossed between democracy and authority or oligarchy. Have you? Very few realize and know how insidiously but cunningly Adolf Hitler and his followers used democracy to abolish democracy in Germany. And very few realize how incredibly similar and comparable the reasoning, actions, and justifications of the Maga movement in the US and thus also Elon Musk is to the movement that led to the disaster of the Second World War. It's playing with fire and playing with fire never ended well. We do not know how the Trump government will develop in the next 4 years but the similarities to the darkest times in German history are frightening and therefore everyone should recognize this and talk about it so that the worst can be prevented.
