@Aboubarchos “Islamic” or selling products asking for a “Muslim company” to be supported for the fact alone that the owners are Muslim with the products being either comparably subpar in quality or overly expensive. Many will support anyway to help out small businesses but it’s absurd.

Truth is that Muslims are seen as a demographic niche to market to and many diasporoid entrepreneurs see advertising their goods or services as "Islamic" gives them a market advantage regardless of the quality of their product, or if there's anything distinctly Islamic about it.

Wasn’t aware that China passed a law banning arranged marriage, part of a social engineering project to free women from cultural shackles so that they could contribute more to the economy. You can argue that this instrumentalises women. It does. But the end result - more agency and far more choices. Economic and social.
