I gained 300 followers in 5 days-here's exactly what worked: → Posted 3x daily → Built 2 apps while sharing the journey → Showed both fails & wins → Replied 100x every day → Shared what I actually learn Show up consistently. The compounding is insane.

One satisfying decision changed everything. 10 days ago I started building in public. Recording videos. Sharing everything. After months stuck, my account took off. Now at 2700 followers. I kept wondering why it worked for others. Turns out… I just had to start. You can too.

Failed 2 startups, launched a new SaaS, scaled to $500K ARR in 8 months + exited, here's what I changed A few years ago I was 25, launching my first startup thinking I'd figured it all out. Spoiler: I hadn't. It was a Netflix-style platform for entrepreneurs. Like Masterclass, but for people building businesses. The market needed it. I had ambition. But it crashed and burned. I made every mistake in the book: > picked the wrong co-founder (he bailed) > chose a business model that didn't scale (content is HARD) > thought I needed to raise money to succeed (without understanding how raising actually works) I was clueless. But instead of quitting, I tried again. Second startup? Same story, different mistakes: > invented a problem nobody had (web3 platform for real-life discounts) > tried building something INSANELY hard without funding, in a volatile market > my co-founder wasn't all in I shut it down after 4 months. Here's what I learned: "never give up" is terrible advice sometimes. If you're pushing too hard to get customers, if it feels like dragging a boulder uphill, there's probably no real need for what you're building (at least not in that form). Pivot. My ambition didn't change. My goal stayed the same. I just needed a different horse. For the third project, I changed EVERYTHING: > partnered with people I'd known for years > picked something dead simple to pitch ("we help you make more money") > found something already working in the market, just approached it differently > made sure I could bootstrap it End of 2023: I launched a WhatsApp Marketing SaaS for Shopify brands. The pitch was easy: "we help you make more sales with WhatsApp" - completely untapped in Europe at the time. We started building and immediately made our first massive mistake. We built what WE thought was cool. Nobody asked for it. We wasted 6 months. BUT while we were building, we kept pitching to Shopify brands. And the traction was INSANE. Every pitch, people wanted to start. Wanted to pay. Even without a finished product. So we scrapped everything and rebuilt it EXACTLY how customers wanted it. First customers came in 2024. We hit $500K ARR in 8 months using: > LinkedIn outreach > cold emails > agency partnerships > referrals > LinkedIn content After 8 months, we exited (for a lot of reasons I can detail in another post), while momentum was still strong. Could we have scaled further? Absolutely. But we wanted to move on, and now we have time and capital to build Gojiberry AI. The new goal is clear: > bootstrap as long as possible > $10M ARR in 3-5 years with a small, lean team I'll probably screw up a dozen more times along the way. I'll share those mistakes here when they happen. If you're in the trenches right now, remember: you can have hard times, you can doubt yourself. But NEVER GIVE UP. Just maybe... pick a different horse.

Very rarely Do you see... World records being broken. Even rarer is having the honour to help someone achieve that record. In February this year I became aware of a young man called Josh who had decided to try and break the world record for the most amount of #golf courses played in 1 year. The record stood at 581 rounds in 1 year and Josh was aiming to break the record to raise money for Macmillan Cancer in memory of his mum who sadly passed away recently. I was moved by his courage, determination and belief that he could become a World Record Holder. I decided back then to support him through some sponsorship. I could only do so much but his story and cause moved me. Since February I've watched in awe as he has played golf day after day. A few days 54, a lot of days 36 and every day 18. My old legs hurt now after 1 round and so seeing what Josh has had to do wows me. It was a pleasure to be invited to TheCaversham yesterday and see Josh finally break the world record. He has not only now broken the world record but he has also raised over £30,000 for 2 incredible charities who desperately need all the support they can. Sometimes you make #business decisions on emotion and gut feeling. You see something in someone and think 'i believe in that person and what they can achieve' I'm very proud to have been involved in Josh's journey and even prouder to see him now become a world record holder. Josh and his unwavering desire to achieve something regardless of the pain and hurt he has to go through to achieve that goal is an inspiration to me. He could after tragedy sit on the sofa and cry. He didn't. He decided to do something and become an inspiration to others. Well done Josh. An incredible achievement 👏👏👏 #belief #gingergolf Josh Simpson
