My take on this Minimum wage Saga: Going forward, minimum wage should be a range rather than an absolute figure for everyone. While the upper limit applies to the FG, the lower end is for private sectors. The states should fit in between the limits based on their capacities!

If you remove bribery and rigging. Peter Obi is the most gangster politician in the history of Nigeria! Most gangster! The fact that he is doing all this without bribing anyone or compromising his integrity. Im not sure Africa has ever seen this level of honest politics.

@justkency @Morris_Monye APC won the 3-man race in 2023 because of northern votes. The Mu-Mu ticket appealed to many core Muslims. The north is no longer viewing the APCticket with the same zeal. They would rather support another northern Muslim ticket. That's the need for AA to run to divert their votes

He doesn't stand a better chance in a 3-horse race. That is a 33.33% chance per candidate but then again we have not factored in the influence of incumbency and federal apparatus. If we do include these factors than Obi is not going to win the election. What we are seeing is 2023 all over again but with the Presidential 10 miles ahead of the other candidates.

A Unified Message to All As you are all now aware, His Excellency Peter Obi is going to be our new presidential candidate and the face of this movement. We call on everyone to vigorously market and promote our candidate with honour and facts. We will not attack or abuse any other candidate, and we expect the same courtesy in return. If you abuse Peter Obi or attempt to tarnish his character, be ready we will respond accordingly. We prefer peace, but if it is a fight you bring, we are more than ready to meet it. To my dear Northern brothers and sisters: Do not come to my page with religious or tribal attacks. They will not work here i won't tolerate it. We who support this movement believe Nigeria belongs to everyone Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Christian, Muslim, and all others. Our strength lies in our unity, not in division. The unity of our nation is what we dream of and will continue to fight for. My reasons for supporting Peter Obi are clear: his outstanding track record as Governor of Anambra State and the positive plans he has for my region the Northern Nigeria. No one can stop or intimidate us. As true Kwankwasiyya, we do not fear challenges we welcome them as opportunities to prove our determination and strength.Peter Obi and Kwankwaso represent our new project for a New Nigeria. We will take this message to the markets, homes, chambers, streets, and every corner of this country. We will campaign with passion and sell this vision to our people. To all supporters of this movement: This is our moment to show Nigerians that love, respect, and unity can be stronger than religion or tribe. Let us promote this movement across every platform and every community. Let us grow together as one. One Nigeria Must Be OK.

@foxxydammie @iamakintomide Obi should force INEC to recognize LP or what? I don't understand your argument. Do you know how many times Obi and LP leadership lead delegations to INEC to respect Supreme Court's ruling on INEC?

The issue here is since Peter Obi wanted a free ticket 🎫 as the flag bearer, WHY IN THE WORLD DID PETER OBI LEAVE LABOUR PARTY ? Does he not have a team that should strategize these moves . Looks like confusion if you look deeply . Because 🤷🏽‍♂️ what’s the essence?

Not true, I think this NDC moves just consolidated power for Tinubu. Peter Obi is moving like someone working for Tinubu. If the goal is to get the APC out of power, then a solidified house is what is required and not a divided one. We are yet to factor the time wasted just to pick a political party and the APC is just waiting, watching and observing.

TO @PeterObi: You did the right thing this morning. Walking out of the ADC took courage. It also took clarity. You named what most Nigerians have been afraid to name — that the same state and its agents that captured Labour Party in 2023 captured the ADC in 2026. Same machine. Different jersey. That is the truth. And you said it out loud. For that, you deserve commendation. Not endorsement — commendation. Because you took a step in the right direction, and steps in the right direction are rare in Nigerian politics. Now keep going. Let APC and ADC split the Caliphate vote between themselves. Let the men who built this cage fight over who gets to sit on the throne. They have the same owners. They will end with the same outcome. You have a different road open to you now. The road of the people. Millions of displaced Nigerians have no voice. Give them one. Make sure they have a vote. Millions are crying for self-determination. Give them a real pathway. Put it on the ballot. Call for a new constitution. Not an amendment. A new one — written by the people, ratified by the people. The 1999 document is a colonial contraption that mentions Sharia 165 times and Christianity zero. It is the scaffolding the Caliphate stands on. Tear it down. Call for a free 2027 election under international supervision. Not INEC. Not the agents who hounded you out of two parties. The world. Do not compromise. The world is watching. Be the champion Nigerians need to end this 66-year nightmare. Sir, you have left the machine. Now join the people and help dismantle it. #EarthShaker

HE. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso told his supporters (Kwankwasiyya members) during a meeting he held yesterday at his residence on Miller Road in Kano: 1: The ADC has betrayed him. He accused them of refusing to sign an agreement to allocate a share of political positions to the NNPP in states where NNPP is strong. 2: He said they are planning to leave ADC for another political party because ADC is facing many court cases that the party may not be able to overcome. 3: He revealed that they have reached an understanding with Peter Obi, Bala Mohammed, and Seyi Makinde to join a new political party. 4: He stated that between yesterday and Tuesday, they will officially announce their move to the new party. 5: He said ADC is planning to use direct primaries, which he described as a trap. He added that no party can successfully produce a presidential candidate through direct primaries without internal conflict, disputes, and power struggles. 6: He also said they met with Rotimi Amaechi to discuss whether he would withdraw his presidential ambition so that a candidate could emerge through consensus, but Amaechi refused. According to him, this increases the likelihood of internal crisis within the party. 7: He added that Muhammad Hayatu-Deen has joined ADC and is preparing to run for president under the party. He said it is unlikely that Hayatu-Deen would agree to step down for consensus, meaning direct primaries would become a major problem for the party. 8: He gave the example of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), saying that 12 years after the party conducted direct primaries to select its candidate, the issue is still in court due to internal disputes. 9: He urged all his supporters at local government and state levels to begin preparations to defect from ADC to the new party they will adopt. 10: Finally, he said they have already reached an understanding with Peter Obi to contest under a party that has no court cases. They have also agreed on who will be the presidential candidate and who will be the vice-presidential candidate.

Not that, I think he's referring to The National Forum of Former Legislators (NFFL) case which is seeking to compel INEC to deregister the NDC for failing to meet the constitutional performance threshold. A hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, 5th May. But, I won't be worried about that case because there is a Supreme court precedent, where the court ruled that INEC cannot deregister a party because they haven't won an election yet. It is likely the Judge will rule that the suit is premature.

Dear Peter Obi, On behalf of many of us who believed Peter Obi had agreed to be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate before joining the coalition, we owe you an apology. You have once again shown that you are a politician whose actions match his words, a rare trait in our political space. You have proven yourself as a man unwilling to align with entrenched structures of criminality in the ADC. I wish you well Sir. I wish you well in NDC.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@HonShield I have a different opinion here. A 3-horse-race might actually be the best for PO in 2027. If ADC chooses PO, the north would align with APC Mu-Mu ticket. If AA emerges, Obidients and the South would revolt. Let AA run with Makinde, then OK and also APC. Tinubu might come 3rd.

Southeast people have supported and voted for Northern presidential candidates in several elections. They were the victims of the civil war, but they never used the civil war against Northern Nigerians in any election. But when we agitate for power to shift to the Southeast, you see Northerners using the civil war to campaign against Southeast. You will see the unfortunate ones lying that Peter Obi drove Northerners from Anambra state. Why can't we be like the Igbos who never use the civil war against us in elections? Why are we so politically selfish and arrogant. Why are we not as forgiving as the Igbos? It's time to redeem Northern Nigeria from politics of ethnicity, and religious bigotry that have held us down for long. It's time to support an Igbo presidential candidate as an act of reciprocity. Thanks for your attention to this matter. Nigeria must be OK.
