1/4 @aran_nayebi and I have created a new mathematical Theory of Contravariance in NeuroAI. There are two high-impact concepts: weak-strong equivalence (WSE) and Zippering (ZIP) that shape how to think about NeuroAI going forward.

Stanford researchers provide the first evidence linking IVIM MRI to PET measures of brain protein pathology: A research team led by Dr. Kathleen Poston and Dr. Eva Müller-Oehring, with the study conducted by postdoctoral fellow Dr. Dimuthu Hemachandra, has published the first evidence that intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) MRI is associated with PET measures of amyloid-β and tau pathology in the human brain. #StanfordResearch #NeurologyResearch frontiersin.org/journals/neuro…

It does inform us but you need to know what you’re looking for. This is one more piece of evidence that consciousness, memory and cognition are organized holographically. This goes back to Karl Pribram in 70s but lacked a laser-like coherent source but now we know microtubules oscillate and interfere coherently and generate optical vortices which interfere holographically. pubs.aip.org/aip/jap/articl…

A new @Nature study by Darrel Deo and colleagues suggests many parts of the brain's motor cortex, which controls movement, contain information about movements throughout the entire body. This could help inform future brain-computer interfaces. Read more: neuroscience.stanford.edu/news/its-time-…
