This Sunday, I visited Kyiv’s Lukianivka district and saw the devastation left by Russia’s May 24 attack.
Children pointed at the wreckage. Boys collected drone fragments. Soldiers walked by with their families. Pensioners sold flowers and vegetables beside the rubble.
I keep thinking about those kids. As an American, I’ve been asked the same question repeatedly in Ukraine: Will the US continue helping Ukraine defend its skies? Will more air defense arrive before it’s too late?
Last night, Russia unleashed an even larger assault on Ukraine.
Today, more children wake up to shattered homes, burned buildings, and the aftermath of another night of terror—if they were lucky enough to survive.
Meanwhile, the House is expected to vote on the Ukraine Support Act this week.
For Ukrainians, aid is not an abstract policy debate. It is the difference between life and death. I hope Congress meets this moment and does not let these innocent people down.

💔 In Kyiv, a mother of two lost her leg while trying to reach shelter in a parking garage during the Russian attack.
According to eyewitness testimony published by UNICEF Ukraine, her 3-year-old son suffered an arm injury, while her 4-year-old child escaped with bruises and scratches.
“We went down to sleep in the parking garage under our building. When explosions suddenly erupted nearby during the night, it turned into a nightmare. Injured people started running in, children covered in blood. While we waited for the ambulance, neighbors provided first aid.
A mother of two lost her leg. Her 3-year-old son had an injured arm, while I tried to calm down and examine her second son — he is only 4 years old. Thankfully, he had no serious injuries, only bruises and scratches.
I hope this wounded woman survives and that her children will be okay,” eyewitness Olena said.
This is what Russia brings into civilian neighborhoods, homes, shelters, and children’s lives.
These are not military targets. These are families trying to survive the night.

“Eaten bread is soon forgotten”
Irish aluminium building Russian weapons to murder Ukrainian women & children?
Ireland should know what it’s like to fight for freedom, but as my Nana used to say:
“Eaten bread is soon forgotten”
Ireland needs to get on the right side of history!

For the actual facts here check out Faith Under Siege. It’s a film put together by @UKRAINEFREEDOM7 that highlights Russia’s crackdown on all faiths (including Christians) in the occupied territories.

You almost have to pity her. The Potemkin tour has always worked best on the people most certain they’re too clever for it.
Sadly, there’s a century-long museum exhibit of Westerners — from Henry Wallace to Walter Duranty to George Bernard Shaw — who came home certain they’d seen the *real* Russia.

I’m not sure what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting this. Moscow is an unbelievably beautiful city.

After every Russian escalation into a NATO country we hear leaders repeating the mantra "We stand with..."
But we could do much more than standing around.
For example — we could create a European-Ukrainian defense union. Fund it with confiscated Russian frozen assets. Close the skies in Ukraine, making Ukraine and other frontline states safer.
These things are very possible and this work could start today.
Instead, I am sadly reminded of how Britain and France “stood with” Poland in 1939 while that country was being dismembered. It was called the Phony War, because mere declarations of “support” mean very little on the ground, and do nothing to prevent real war.
Actions always speak louder than words, and usually cost much less than inaction.

Ben Shapiro debunked the myths so often shared by Carlson and Candace that Russia is a very religious country. He says Russia has extremely low church attendance and also one of the highest abortion rates worldwide.
Is it true? @grok 🤔

Pastor Mark Burns: Being here in Ukraine, with the people, I can say that propaganda from Russia is very real — and how it’s used in Christian conservative circles to essentially dislike Ukrainians.
And so when I saw with my own eyes that Ukrainians do love God, are not racists, are not godless society as they were being portrayed, are not corrupt people — they’re normal people just like you and me.
And the fact that Ukraine is bigger than just blue and yellow map that you see on CNN — they’re real people. Real mothers, real daughters, real children.
And when I saw that and atrocities that Russians were doing — not the war, but war crimes they had been committing against Ukrainians — my heart immediately shifted and changed from being just a Republican to being a human being.
And I had to choose then to speak for what is right, and not necessarily what is popular. That’s what changed my heart.
