@denkmit I think Bayliss was considered a replacement yes that's my fault but Nakagami and Pedrosa were definitely wildcards. Also I'd love to hear your opinion on wildcards not being about results

For what it's worth, I don't think this will be a penalty. No advantage gained by Marc, and (maybe more importantly) nothing on screen telling us that he's under investigation.

So apparently this isn't worthy of penalising. The stewards had 5 laps to react and he clearly crossed the white line. Clear offence and most likely the decider to this chaotic and otherwise enjoyable sprint race #SpanishGP #MotoGP

@stath_12 @denkmit @cruikshank_93 The image you’ve sent states that a corner cut at pit entry is defined by the white line on the INSIDE of the pitlane. He didn’t cut that so therefore he can’t be penalised for a corner cut

#MotoGP #SpanishGP La circolare della Race Direction divulgata mercoledì scorso riafferma quanto anticipavo in un pregresso post: a norma di regolamento, Marc Marquez sarebbe da penalizzare per il taglio della pit lane. Poi possono esserci molteplici presupposti per "scamparla": causa di forza maggiore (caduta e volontà di "tirarsi via" da una situazione di pericolo) e per una CLAMOROSA dimenticanza di chi ha redatto il dispositivo. Come si può leggere, non è espressamente specificato "SPRINT", bensì "practice sessions" e "race" (la "sprint" differisce da "gara"). Io per assurdo lo farei notare. Detto che la manovra mai "under investigation" fa pensare.

people that think this move was unfair or dangerous have the right to think so. the point is that the rules ARE NOT CLEAR. so you cannot penalize someone for doing something that has no clear evidence to be against the rules. that’s not how any sport or game works!

@ScottSquirell @denkmit The bike didn't seem to have any visible damage to prevent him from completing another lap. The only thing that would make him unable to do that lap is the slick tyres. Which he already committed to doing before falling
