Q: 100+ titles have made significant revenue. Last couple of years how many new titles have made more than $1 million? A: I don't know how many are new titles or not. It is very hard to change what the top titles are. All three titles talked about today made $1 million.

Bold prediction: in 18 months time there will still be white collar jobs, including software engineers, accountants, and university lecturers. 🫡

Spoke with several YC founders planning to lay off all engineers below staff/principal — basically everyone under L5. This only became viable after Opus 4.5 in December. The Block layoffs are a signal: the floor just collapsed. If you’re early in your career, the next few years are everything. Your edge will be how well you integrate AI into the value you create. The fastest learners are about to compound at absurd rates.

ding ding ding, Jacob gets it. Thats why Sony and Microsoft have pivoted so hard. You may hate it, but they make these decisions based on data, not on gamers complaining on social media. younger people arent playing AAA games they are on Roblox, Fortnite etc. and if they aren't then attention is being diverted away by apps like Tik Tok.

🚨 SAM ALTMAN: “People talk about how much energy it takes to train an AI model … But it also takes a lot of energy to train a human. It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart.”

I don't think gamers really understand how bad of a state the video game industry is in right now. The Rockstar developer I am interviewing next week has been unemployed for a year, he can't find work and this is someone who worked on L.A. Noire, RDR1, GTA V and RDR2!! Even with an impressive resume he can't even get interviews, I wasn't exaggerating when I said we are in the midst of an extinction level event of talent in the game industry.

This is why Hollywood industry going crazy overy Seedance 2 right now, sending DMCA and getting ready for copyright case against them But this is futile; I predict such quality open source models in 1 year
