Seems like St Louis tornado didn’t really hit the national news - it was a direct hit on the @steadymd offices here, some photos (collected from Twitter & friends as well as my own) attached. Imagine the force required to uproot these giant trees, hundreds down across the city.

@chrissyfarr Agree that SMS is the way to go. Both the patients and doctors love it.

My favorite thing about Summer as a long-term/ sticky parent user is I do not need to use a native app!! It is SMS. I cannot overstate how much better this is than an app. We are overly app obsessed. Far too many apps. I text Summer or send a video and 5m later (if that), a health care practitioner responds. That simple.

The GLP-1 shortages are so bad that I have patients driving 3-4 hours to pharmacies that have Zepbound etc in stock.

@DrNadolsky I wonder what will happen to all these people who are on compounded glp1s once the compounding pharmacies are no longer allowed to manufacture the compound.

I did an informal poll on instagram. Around a third of people taking a GLP-1 are using compounded versions. Unsure if representative of everyone 👀

@jayparkinson @chrissyfarr @nikillinit I will admit that I am an optimist. That being said I think we have a genuine opportunity to work together with VC, big tech, and entrepreneurs to create a new healthcare system that enables access to care for all at the right place, time, and cost.

@chrissyfarr @steadymdrunning @nikillinit In Nikhil’s post, he begins by talking about the top down hierarchy of VC funded startups (VC-funded startups want the brand to be bigger than the doctors), and one of the ideas is decentralizing success by investing in doctors rather than brands.

Interesting suggestion from @nikillinit on a new type of program that could exist in health care to connect services entrepreneurs to other types of capital that aren't venture. Agree that not all types of businesses need to be venture-backed.
