Perk of parking close to a trade show: you can empty the morning’s haul into your car at lunch 😂

@nikillinit Easy. The ICD-10 code for carbon monoxide poisoning resulting from exposure to a propane stove is T58.2X1A (toxic effect of carbon monoxide from incomplete combustion of other domestic fuels, accidental [unintentional], initial encounter).

Seems like St Louis tornado didn’t really hit the national news - it was a direct hit on the @steadymd offices here, some photos (collected from Twitter & friends as well as my own) attached. Imagine the force required to uproot these giant trees, hundreds down across the city.

@chrissyfarr Agree that SMS is the way to go. Both the patients and doctors love it.

My favorite thing about Summer as a long-term/ sticky parent user is I do not need to use a native app!! It is SMS. I cannot overstate how much better this is than an app. We are overly app obsessed. Far too many apps. I text Summer or send a video and 5m later (if that), a health care practitioner responds. That simple.

@chrissyfarr Summer Health pediatric care is exactly this! @joinsummer is: -Cash pay -All async -Brand entirely for the customer -Same clinician each time -Exclusively pediatricians + peds specialty care

Good news for Prime members on Medicare - today, we’re making RxPass avail to them. This means that for just $5 a month, any of the 50M+ Medicare beneficiaries who are Prime members can get unlimited access to the 60 most-common medications and have them delivered right to their home with fast, free shipping. This could save people (many on a fixed income) about $70-$120 per year if they take just one medication, and if all Medicare beneficiaries transitioned their eligible medications to RxPass, Medicare spending could be reduced by nearly $2 billion. Just the beginning of what we have planned for Amazon Pharmacy!

The GLP-1 shortages are so bad that I have patients driving 3-4 hours to pharmacies that have Zepbound etc in stock.

@WSJbusiness Power move that will benefit many. Waiting in line at the pharmacy is worse than the post office

@DrNadolsky I wonder what will happen to all these people who are on compounded glp1s once the compounding pharmacies are no longer allowed to manufacture the compound.

I did an informal poll on instagram. Around a third of people taking a GLP-1 are using compounded versions. Unsure if representative of everyone 👀

@tjparker Innovation is often slow and deceptive. Making healthcare safe, convenient, and accessible is a major win.

@runcandice Oh wow. Just heartbreaking 💔. Sounds like an offer to talk through with a therapist to me. My parenting approach would be to go for long drives and give them space to just talk. Life and parenting is hard.

One of my daughter’s best friends committed suicide. He was only 17. He never mentioned his struggles to her. How do you help your children process a such an unexpected and tragic death?

@jayparkinson @chrissyfarr @nikillinit I will admit that I am an optimist. That being said I think we have a genuine opportunity to work together with VC, big tech, and entrepreneurs to create a new healthcare system that enables access to care for all at the right place, time, and cost.

@chrissyfarr @steadymdrunning @nikillinit In Nikhil’s post, he begins by talking about the top down hierarchy of VC funded startups (VC-funded startups want the brand to be bigger than the doctors), and one of the ideas is decentralizing success by investing in doctors rather than brands.

Interesting suggestion from @nikillinit on a new type of program that could exist in health care to connect services entrepreneurs to other types of capital that aren't venture. Agree that not all types of businesses need to be venture-backed.
