@MelansonFinn @wser Craig Hunt, who was leading the race a few years ago at mile 50, is back. He’s also a 2:15 marathoner and was the last guy to hang with Walmsley during his 100K road attempt.

@RndmForestRunnr @wser How about this idea…do 9 SEPARATE lotteries for EACH year of ticket holders. So draw 9 runners first from 9 year tickets, then 8 from 8 year ticket holders, etc. until you get to 1 year holders and then repeat. This way more runners will get in who have MORE tickets.

Controversial idea given massive recent increase in @wser total lottery tickets: don't include 1 ticket people in the draw. A bit more desire / dedication than doing 1 100K 1 year isn't much (but congrats to everyone who has been drawn with 1 ticket under current system) (1/2)

@ajoneswilkins @iRunFar CUT 112 in Connecticut. Starts at MA/CT border and finishes at Long Island Sound. Almost all trails too! Breakneck Point Trail Runs. Beast of a course with 8-9K vert for Marathon. Manitou’s Revenge-53 miles of super techy terrain in Catskill Mtns of NY. At least 15K vert.

@lord_balls @AmlungJ @wser Why not take those w/128 tickets and put them at the top of wait list so they'll almost surely get in this year. 8 yrs is certainly long enough to wait to run their bucket list race. The wait is only going to continue to get longer in the coming years under the current system.

@AmlungJ @wser There are also two runners with 128 tickets from 2020 who did not enter the lottery this year. So could be 5 of you.

Some people have asked how the results of the @wser lottery compared to the monte carlo simulation. These were for the combined 223 entrants and 75 wait list picks (298 total).
