@RivianTrackr Peddle whatever shit you want, but don’t lie. EMI isn’t some engineering issue. Everyone from Nissan to Porsche has AM radio in their EVs and it works just fine. Removing radio is a deliberate decontenting choice, full stop.

Tomorrow morning @AndrewStilin and I will start our trip to visit every public DC Fast Charger in Colorado! This will serve as a great mid-decade audit of our charging infrastructure. Colorado has a huge adoption of EVs, tons of charging stations, and to add to the excitement we have harsh conditions that work our infrastructure hard... We have unique factors that stress infrastructure with extreme heat, extreme cold, high level of solar loading, high elevation, and many big battery EVs on our roads that rip on charging equipment. We are breaking the state into three or four sections starting with the sparsely built out eastern side which we will tackle tomorrow (yes, we will be live-streaming!) By the end of this trip we'll have a really good idea of how our infrastructure is working! We'll compare hardware type, cable ratings, location amenities, and ultimately offer a highly subjective @RateYourCharge score that we will come up with based on who knows what. What factors are you interested in? We will be making the data available to everyone, of course at no cost, so please comment below with what we should log at each site visit. @plugshare get ready for a million check-ins and you'll also be seeing our live tweets from the @RateYourCharge page

This is an annoying Rivian software bug where the charger doesn’t seem to be in the correct location on the Nav so it doesn’t think I’m there charging and thus it’s not detecting or telling me how long I need to be here. These are the little annoyances.

@adarsh_dn @RANtracker i think thats always been the plan, they were just supply restricted transformer restricted, so rather than doing 4 stalls, they added 2 more for more sharing. But even early on, salida and others were 2 per cabinet

@itskyleconner AC as long as it’s running the charger in reverse (no added inverter), can sync with grid and has good output (48A pref). I think cybertruck ticks all those.

We reached out to Rivian to confirm towing with the Large+ since it’s a Max pack that’s software locked. Happy to report it gains the towing characteristics of a Max pack. Dual R1T Standard: 7,700 lb Dual R1T Large: 7,700 lb Dual R1T Large+: 11,000 lb Tri R1T Max: 11,000 lb

@vikasreddy I would imagine govt only cares about things that have market value, I.e properties, publicly traded stock, crypto?, etc. maybe certain high value private companies but not just any old LLC

It’s the “unrealized gains” part that is stupid. For example, if I start a company and own 50% of it and someone invests valuing it at $200 million, on paper I have $100 million of unrealized gains. Actual implementation will get complicated and the super rich will figure out workarounds leaving the rest of us to figure out a bunch of shit.

Ugh, I’m assuming the tax on unrealized gains won’t actually go anywhere but man this is so stupid.

@itskyleconner i think making 1 cabinet for 3 dispensers was a huge miss by them. Charging at a full RAN at sub 100kW is pure pain

I love how this one has two dispensers sharing one cabinet rather than the usual 3. Much better! Means 150kW minimum charging speeds
