No, you don’t have it right. The issue is not “Republicans can redistrict but Democrats can’t.” The issue is whether the redistricting was done through the legal process required by that state’s constitution. If Republicans illegally redistricted in a specific state, name the state and name the court ruling. I’ll condemn that too. But in Virginia, Democrats tried to bypass the constitutional process. That is the argument. You can scream “Republicans do it too” all day, but that is not a rebuttal unless you can point to the same legal violation. Gerrymandering and unconstitutional redistricting are not automatically the same thing. Now go back to Grok in the comment section and learn.
