Kidney transplant recipients are at increased risk of severe outcomes during COVID-19. This study shows that kidney transplant recipients mount early anti–SARS-CoV-2 IgA and IgM responses, whereas IgG responses are delayed bit.ly/j2021040573 @jonmaltzman

I have never seen more *flexibility* in a system: staff have been redeployed to work in unfamiliar places and work patterns have changed to full shift resident with only hours notice in our consultant anaesthetist group. Nobody complained. This reads like an insult. @ATICS_SHSCT

The amoral imbeciles at the @Telegraph are now trying to blame the 'lumbering NHS' for deaths caused by COVID-19 in the UK (and also in Italy, Spain and the US presumably).

Germany has got testing spot on. They plan to test hundreds of thousands for the presence of the antibodies and issue 'Immunity Certificates' to those who test positive-allowing their work to be exempt from the lockdown. This information will be a huge weapon against the virus.

I'm worried for my #carehome patients. Many will die earlier due to #coronavirus. Restricted visiting necessary but increases suffering. This visual explains what I can do to help. Lots! And now! This is important! @SQSFellowship @openchangeuk

I can’t overstate this: Lombardia, Madrid & New York all on worse trajectories than Wuhan. London may be but we don’t have the data. Wuhan remained locked down for two months. Huge Western cities could stay locked down for months because they acted too slowly.
John Burn-Murdoch@jburnmurdoch

Here’s our newest chart, tracking death tolls in cities & regions: • Wuhan was ground zero, but Lombardia has overtaken it as worst-hit region worldwide • Madrid could be worse than Lombardia, and New York’s death trajectory looks steep All charts here: ft.com/content/a26fbf…
