@CoachCastro423 heya - did you lose something important at College of Alameda recently? if so, hit me back and describe it so I can help reunite you with it.
Pour another one out for Rdio 🍻
I had someone ask me "What app is the definition of great design for you?" My answer is and will always be Rdio. An app ahead of its time. /cc @nkreeger@ian@stevel@mikelrsmith and more 🥲
@repeatingbeats@nkreeger@ian@mikelrsmith it was seriously the best. to this day i meet people that go into huge nostalgic raves about rdio when i tell them i worked there
PSA for those trying to use Rollins Lake to sneak past the I-80 closure: You. Will. Not. Get. Through.
I-80 remains CLOSED between Applegate and the Nevada state line. You will be turned around and you're putting crews at risk who are working to clear downed trees, snow, etc.

@pfoxhoven@YouTubeTV 1. click the overflow/menu button at the top right (e.g. first screenshot)
2. then click the option to hide all scores (e.g. second screenshot).
@YouTubeTV Why do you insist on showing game scores inline with recorded videos? Do none of your customers ever use you to time shift watching sporting events? I can’t tell you how many times you’ve spoiled a game for me going to watch one — so much so I’m thinking of canceling!
@Alpholio@KatLS DRM and playback behaviour are very different for VOD/DVR (e.g. recorded content on YTV or Netflix) vs. live. You can build up an indefinite buffer on VOD/DVR, but you can't on live due to trying to keep the live latency as low as possible.
@stevel@KatLS Not only does my Samsung TV *reliably* play YTV recorded content (e.g. SNL) in 1080p, but it also *very reliably* plays 4k content from Netflix, so not buying this argument. Why don't you give the user an option to select 1080p in the app, as you do with a PC app (default 720p)?
@KatLS There is a bug in YTV app on Samsung TV not playing live content in full HD 1080p (capped at 720p across all channels). Reported to YTV Tech Support on 11/12 [#1-9373000024273], ~30 emails since, no resolution. Can you help to get this finally fixed?
@KatLS UN65KS900D. Your Tech Support has all the info, incl. TV screen shots (case #1-9373000024273, contact Keaton the manager). The YTV app has no problem playing recorded content (e.g. SNL) in 1080p, but caps all live channels at 720p.
@mattrcarroll@YouTubeTV Any chance you would mind DM'ing me your IP address? We think we know what the issue is (low confidence geo-IP resolution if you care for the nitty gritty details, but need to try to repro w/ an IP)
@TujuMaster@TeamYouTube Any chance you would mind DM'ing me your IP address? We think we know what the issue is (low confidence geo-IP resolution if you care for the nitty gritty details, but need to try to repro w/ an IP)
@TujuMaster@TeamYouTube Hey man, I don't presume to judge what others might consider fun. :p That being said, we've had a couple of reports that seem similar to this so we're looking into it. Hopefully we'll have a fix soon!
@DaleACooke@YouTubeTV Thanks, if you're still experiencing this today, would you mind turning on the "Stats for Nerds" feature in the player window and giving me the video ID & CPN (you can just take a photo or screenshot and send it to me), so we can try and trace the playback and debug?
