@BrianAhlin @EpicModron Again I agree. The way the buyer described it met the criteria you described in the listing…so in a perfect world it shouldn’t matter whether you inspected it or not, since the buyer got what they ordered. Unfortunately other people are not as honest and ebay sucks for sellers

@sthmrrll @EpicModron I am an honest person and I think people buying raw cards should know that the person selling isn’t holding it under a microscope. I looked at the card, had no damage, and listed it. I hear you but this guys conduct is ridiculous and bad for the hobby

Just made a sale on eBay and the buyer, after receiving the card, said that they “estimate” that the card would receive an 8 grade therefore I should not have listed it as “near mint or better”. Apparently there was a small mark on the backside of the card (which I did not notice). They now want to return the card or make a claim about it and told me that I need to reevaluate my selling process. For the record, this card sold for $14. What is everyone’s thoughts? @CardPurchaser

@BrianAhlin @EpicModron they *do* decide to escalate a claim to eBay instead of working something out with you directly. It’s an unnecessary line to be sharing in comms with a buyer because the scammy/“buyers remorse” people will use it to get eBay to side with them🤷‍♂️

@BrianAhlin @EpicModron I’m on your side. You should’t have to refund or allow a return. My point is: If the card was as described (which it was), telling a buyer “I don’t do significant inspection of cards” does nothing to help you—while giving the buyer a non-zero amount of ammunition in the event

@EpicModron @BrianAhlin No need for the hostility, brother, I’m just sharing thoughts. They said it meets eBay’s criteria, yes. I’m saying they should have done that in combo w/ not saying “I didn’t inspect it”. Both are part of having receipts in case buyer tries a fraudulent “not as described” claim.

@BrianAhlin That would suss out quickly if they were just fishing for a partial refund just to capture more margin (which my guess is they are) or if they will really go through the hassle of returning.

@BrianAhlin You gave up any leverage in this situation by admitting you didn’t inspect the card. Had you hypothetically *not* done that, I think the move is to call their bluff let them know the card met eBay’s NM standards, then tell them you don’t do partial refunds but they can return it.

this is completely wrong, playing wordle not on hard mode is playing without honor. that you can end up in a situation such as below is simply what honor demands.

@PokeTCGiveaways So just sell your card at its value, then come back and buy his at its value when you have the cash from your sale. Problem solved! You’ve done the straight trade you wanted (in a roundabout way) and he got the cash he wanted. No having to worry about annoying percentages!

The most exhausting, unspoken burden on men in modern dating is that they are expected to be the sole architects of the relationship. A man is expected to initiate the first text, plan the dates, fund the experiences, orchestrate the proposal, and constantly drive the romance forward. We have completely normalized a culture where a woman’s mere presence is considered her "effort." The absolute second a man gets tired of being the only engine keeping the relationship moving and asks for equal romantic effort, he is instantly accused of being "inconsistent" or "low effort." We demand 50/50 modern equality, but aggressively enforce traditional male burdens the exact moment romance is involved.

what opinion about men do you have that makes people feel like this???

You’re comparing a flashlight to the sun. Makes no sense bro. More like turning on stadium lights. But the sun is even way brighter than that to supposedly shine across all that space onto the earth. Why would a ball of fire have a spotlight effect. You’re just believing ludacrisy.

@superfinn23 I’m a lifelong Jazz fan and I can’t name more than three non-injured players on the team right now I know because I just checked the roster the other day, and I already forgot everyone on it except the ones I already knew (Williams, Sensabaugh, Bailey)

One of these games in the last month vs the Heat led to a $500,000 fine for tanking. Can you guess which?

You had “tank for Zion” plus Wemby, Flagg, just in RECENT history, trending in the league. This year you have the Jazz sit a guy on a minute restriction set from our trainers, and a guy sit who had a literal tumor in his knee, and league decides to throw a tantrum. All because presti is a softy and Adam silver is bowing down to the sports bettors. The league is screwed
