Uganda 🇺🇬 has revealed plans to begin manufacturing its own satellites. Officials and scientists say the country now has the capability to design and build satellites locally, with the potential to produce up to five each year. This follows recent milestones, including the ClimCam payload sent to the International Space Station. President Museveni has also indicated plans to launch two additional satellites for security, environmental monitoring, and broadcasting. The initiative is part of Uganda’s broader ambition to enter the global space economy and expand its use of satellite technology.
