Thanks to all 1st responders in the Palisades and those who’ve reached out. It’s catastrophic - four houses lost across my big family. Everyone is safe. We’re ok! It’s just stuff. Got one change of clothes. It turns out when the 🔥 is coming you only grab what’s most important 🫶

I’m in shock. This is Temescal Canyon, from Sunset right down to PCH. So many memories driving up here. Everything is on fire. There was a parked car on fire. #PalisadesFire

On the ground for the #palisadesfire in Pacific Palisades. The fire has erupted to 770+ acres. Winds are still strong. My elderly dad lives less than a mile from here. These are my favorite mountains to run in. Always gutting reporting on my home burning.

At the Met Museum Shop in NYC and suddenly a panicked crowd raced into my part of the store. The staff opened doors for us to hide in an employee area, telling us there were gunshots in the main hall. This thankfully turned out to be a false alarm, but a bracing moment.
