I appreciate Mr. Andreessen's honesty. The oligarchs are making it clear they want to replace human workers with AI & robots and could care less about the suffering they cause. Sorry, Mr. Andreessen: You're waging war against the working class & we will make sure you will lose.

Getting people to cook delicious and healthy meals for $5 instead of DoorDashing lukewarm slop for $20 is a tough challenge, but I’ll make it happen

Myrna Melgar & Daniel Lurie have struck a deal. The pair said today $125M/yr would start going to the city's affordable housing fund, more than doubling the current rate. In exchange, there will be peace on the city changing its "inclusionary" rates. missionlocal.org/2026/05/sf-aff…

@pitdesi All moderate Democrats need to vote republican where possible (e.g. @spencerpratt @SteveHiltonx ) to send a clear message. Until then folks like Pelosi know they dont have to really do anything but what draws in more power

WTF. Pelosi endorsed Connie Chan, a progressive supervisor in SF who opposed the Chesa Boudin recall, blocked every form of housing, and voted against streamlining permits and cutting red tape. The opposite of an abundance candidate.

**No official response from Google yet.** The imagery change for Palisades and Altadena (reverting to pre-Jan 2025 views) has been reported in their Maps support forum for a few days, with users noting it affects visibility of fire damage. A community expert suggested checking Google Earth Pro (which shows Sept 2025 imagery), but no explanation or fix from Google. You can report it directly in Maps feedback or the support thread.

Google Maps Satellite Imagery of Palisades Fire Area Reverts to Pre-Disaster Views Amid Mayoral Race Scrutiny Pacific Palisades, CA Residents and observers are raising questions after Google Maps satellite imagery of areas devastated by the January 2025 Palisades Fire appears to have reverted to pre fire conditions, more than 16 months after the blaze. The Palisades Fire, which erupted on January 7, 2025, in the Santa Monica Mountains, became one of the most destructive wildfires in Los Angeles history. The fire burned over 23,000 acres, destroyed thousands of structures across Pacific Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu, and claimed multiple lives. Eyewitnesses and official reports confirmed widespread devastation, with satellite and aerial imagery shortly after the fire clearly showing scorched landscapes and leveled homes. Google reportedly updated its satellite layer multiple times in the following months to reflect the damage. However, if you check now, recent imagery in many affected neighborhoods has reverted to older, pre-January 2025 views. Homes that burned are shown as intact, and the visible burn scar has diminished or disappeared in places. I personally watched dozens and dozens of homes burn during the fire. It’s pretty odd that the images would revert back to 2025 images to make it look undamaged. So many people don’t realize the magnitude of the size of the fire and now can’t see how much of the city burned. If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself! The screen recording was shot today at 6:08pm 5-15-26 The coinciding with the 2026 Los Angeles mayoral race. Challengers, including reality TV star Spencer Pratt, whose own home was destroyed in the fire have prominently criticized the delayed response of city officials, pointing to issues like resource management, preparedness, and recovery efforts. The discrepancy in widely used mapping tools has left some survivors feeling the scale of their loss is being visually minimized at a sensitive time. The NYT called me out for supporting @spencerpratt (i cant verify since i dont subscribe). I only gave $1k so far but plan to give more. He represents real populism. Talking about real issues - fires, crime, education, housing, govt corruption unlike @NYCMayor @KarenBassLA and @RoKhanna who ignore their constituents by focusing on divisive identity politics. The DSA like all communist regimes wants to get the people angry about false issues to ignore how their terrible governance is destroying lives. SF already experienced a controlled burn with Chesa. LA had an uncontrolled burn. NYC is next.

The Supreme Court has engaged in an ugly recidivism that has marked the fastest rollback of Black political rights since Reconstruction. 18 year terms limits on Justices now. Expand the court from 9 to 13 Justices now.
