@jackbutcher To be honest: what I still don’t get is the whole voting and cummunity art part. It used to be sets released by you, now it’s a mix, some of it from artists of the community? But they first need to be approved by some voting? Then what? Is it a set? Optin as normal? confusing.

opepen site has become a bit like snapchat / impossible to use zoomer ui with many obscure patterns and buried actions good in some respects (if you know you know etc) but seems to be consensus that it needs a drastic rework will do it in public below

We have been reverse engineering the XZ Utils backdoor and are sharing some initial findings: we've identified multiple hooking options to adapt to different environments, and a hardcoded fake public key that can appear in verbose SSH logs depending on attacker-controlled flags.

Do you guys think we should have waterparks on Mars? On one hand...water is scarce and probably shouldn't be wasted on recreational activities. On the other hand...low gravity means you can build some super sick slides.

@JoePompliano I can’t fathom how they’ll make that $ back. You’re talking about selling $1,000 tickets to 1,000 events before they break even, not including expenses from maintenance. Or $100 for 10,000 events, 28 years worth.

The sphere in Las Vegas cost $2.3 billion to build — or about $100k per seat. They already have concerts and other events lined up, but it feels like they could make a decent amount on external advertising too. It’s a giant billboard (that goes viral).
