The Tennessee Rule (T.C.A. § 39-11-611) Under Tennessee law, you cannot claim self-defense if you are the one who provoked the confrontation. So I agree it will be landmark

That doesn’t mean the attacker won’t be charged with aggravated assault. They can both be charged . Chud is not winning this case. Ultimately I think he pleas down from attempted murder to something lighter and only does like 18 months with the rest suspended. His career will be better actually when he gets out .
