Last night a Russian drone entered Romanian airspace and hit a residential building, injuring civilians.
Time and again, Russia has shown it has no regard for civilian life, international law, or sovereignty of its neighbours.

Both the Tories and Reform are now saying the kirpan should be banned.
This is totally wrong. The kirpan is a key article of the Sikh faith.
An entire community cannot be tarred by the horrendous actions of one person.

Robert Jenrick has told @GBNEWS that Reform UK would ban the kirpan, the Sikh ceremonial knife, being carried in public after the murder of Henry Nowak. The differing rules on knives being allowed in public have been described as another example of two-tier justice.

Yvette Cooper spent yesterday knocking on doors campaigning for Andy Burnham in Makerfield.
A seat that already had a Labour MP step aside so Burnham could parachute in, build momentum, and position himself for a future Labour leadership run.
You would think the Foreign Secretary of a sitting government would have more important things to get on with.

Russia’s violation of NATO airspace, hitting a residential building in Romania is extremely dangerous and reckless.

I actually feel for the officer(s) involved in the Henry Nowak case.
I guarantee they wouldn't have gone out with the view of allowing a victim to die. It seems they got it wrong.
Sadly, duped by the suspect. Inexperience? Who knows. It'll all come out in the wash in the end.

Wake up, Europe. You have exactly two choices: America’s tech stack or China’s. You cannot build your own. You cannot complete anything at scale. All you do is pass legislation, issue fines, write stern letters of concern, and hold press conferences about “digital sovereignty” while your cloud infrastructure, AI models, semiconductors, and platforms remain overwhelmingly dependent on foreign technology. Pretending you’ll magically “build European champions” by taxing, fining, and hamstringing the only people who actually ship product at global scale is delusional. Decades of evidence prove it. Brain drain continues. Investment gaps widen. We know what the data says: Europe lags behind in AI, cloud, semiconductors, and consumer platforms because of the regulatory moat you build and maintain around mediocrity. So you can push for sovereignty but it will not materialize because you’re unwilling to do what it takes to get there.
