Just as Christians recognize, fast, and reverently participate in the life of Christ during Holy Week, America’s institutions should reflect that same reverence. That is why I have introduced legislation to lower the US flag to half-staff on Good Friday and Holy Saturday. I drove to Chattanooga in 2015 to be present the day after some islamist scum killed four of our marines at a recruitment center. They were all unarmed. I was so angry. It began to rain and I did not leave. I just stood there looking past that yellow tape. I ended making the news and giving a small speech. Probably good that I cannot find it today. (Notice the sign on the shattered glass) Our governor then gave an order that all service members serving in TN would not be barred by STATE law of carrying a sidearm on base or at recruitment facilities. That did not matter because the feds forbade it. Thank you for this common sense patriotic measure, sir.
