There’s a practice you could employ here if you were interested. The idea is if there is a task in your life you hate doing you should give it more of your attention. You hate it because you have asset every time. If you focus and try to do a good job, you’ll eventually learn to like it. Years ago I hated to chop garlic and I tried this. I made a big deal out of chopping the garlic. I really tried to go out of my way to do a good job. And honestly, it worked. After a few weeks, chopping garlic became my favorite part of making dinner.

Why would I use jarlic when I could dirty a knife and cutting board and spend 10 minutes peeling 4 garlic cloves, another 10 looking for my garlic press, and then clean up all the peels

The reason ground beef can be more volatile is the exposed surface area. The contamination of beef is gonna start from the outside and work its way in. That’s why a steak is safer than ground beef. With ground beef, you’ve chopped it up into tiny little pieces ahead of time, therefore exposing it all to oxidation and contamination. If you’re chopping it up right before you eat it that’s the best.

@INEED2GOHOMENOW I ate raw food for 2 years, salmon, pork loin, ground beef, chicken thighs, eggs, milk. Never got sick. Ate raw dough all the time as a kid. You know what gives me food poisoning quite often? Tomatoes and kale. Literally everytime. /Everytime/. I refuse to eat raw veg now.

my dirty secret is years ago i pan seared a chicken breast and the inside was wicked undercooked but i ate it anyway and it was really good and i didnt get sick and i didnt tell anyone until now

Idk why gas prices are so culturally salient in america. You could drive an hour a day and it probably comes to less than $3k/year. Is it because they put the price on billboards along the road?
