@Andy2sn @peterktodd In this case it is Apple as there is no law in the UK forcing Apple to have an OS level age verification

This is a really important point. Apple has intentionally degraded the functionality of billions of dollars worth of phones for absolutely no legal reason at all. That is sabotage and fraud, and Apple and Apple employees should be getting sued and charged over this.
No to Digital ID@NoToDigitalID

I will say this again.. THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT IN THE UK ONLINE SAFETY ACT FOR OPERATING SYSTEMS LIKE iOS and LINUX TO ADD AGE VERIFICATION. IT IS NOT A LAW. THEY ARE LYING.

@AndyH_England @ReclaimTheNetHQ No they are not as the communications act states they are not liable for the content of any apps hosted on it's operating system. It will is also the responsibility of the site not the operating system to prevent the use of VPN to bypass the law

@stuj34 @ReclaimTheNetHQ Apple is liable for any app on its platform that breaks the new laws, and to prevent people from using a VPN to avoid verification. You need to understand liability law, and Apple is defending its business. In any case, I did not have to identify myself due to my Apple ID.

@peterbladen @ReclaimTheNetHQ @UKLabour No it is Apple. Operating systems are not required to have age verification checks under the online safety act. OFCOM may expand it to cover them but the report is not due till 2027 so this is Apple going further than the law requires

@ReclaimTheNetHQ Sadly, for your propaganda, Android and Windows will have to follow suit, as it is a UK law. If you do not comply, you're banned and fined 10% of world revenue. Neither Android nor Apple is going to fight that in court.

@billyk3vin @urtasteback Most likely reply. "Thank you for your email. Please ensure the item is ready for collection and we will issue a full refund once the item is returned" so they would end up with nothing.

I could expand an email and say from a goodwill gesture being offered, they know you don’t know consumer law which puts you at a weakened stance. Know the laws and state that you are legally entitled to a FULL refund, don’t back down because these companies do assume you know nothing (:

@MinnOrchia @MForstater Well as they are campaigning on women's rights they don't need to be experts on gender dysphoria just the law as defined by the equality act

@MForstater So, I'm curious about something, Maya. Are "Sex Matters" experts in gender dysphoria and gender identity issues? What qualifications does your leadership team have in this field?

46 British children have ended their lives since the UK puberty blocker ban. Labour, Wes Streeting and Terfs need to address this. Gender Critical hate kills children.

@BrainSilly @SmilingDeceit @washdaddysball @Qveen_Potato It is almost like you have no idea how it would work. Firstly the male skeleton is not suitable for carrying a child (eg pelvis shape etc). Then you have the whole endocrine system which isn't setup to produce the hormones required to sustain a pregnancy.

Effective tomorrow: all Kansas-issued trans drivers' licenses are now invalid It is now illegal for trans people to drive a car until they go to the DMV (that most will need to drive to) and exchange their license for one with the wrong gender erininthemorning.com/p/kansas-sends…

@shanksizpony1 @BubblyIan @UKLabour The change in the energy price cap is influenced most by the wholesale gas price which is something no government can control as it is set by market forces and the standing charge goes toward infrastructure costs so how do you think they are supposed to bring it down?

@stuj34 @BubblyIan @UKLabour The figures in the illustration are the electric price in June 24 when this Govt took office and the price it will be 1 April. I have done 3 comparisons. The green levy is being transferred to Gen Taxes, and the standing charge is being raised. Do your own figures tell me ?
