Certain things in the UI require input from the user, but still work great with Rivian Assistant.

@RivianTrackr As a 2025 Maverick owner, I love the truck. Perfect for what I need. And when(!) the R2T arrives, it's bye-bye to the Maverick.

If Rivian built an R2T, basically a small truck in the same class as the Ford Maverick, and nailed the price, it would fly off lots in North America.

@itskyleconner And in VA, the OTD price on the performance R2 is ~$800 more than the stripped down base iX3 before destination, tax title, tags, et al. This an every other reason mentioned is why folks are excited.

As a reminder, for just over $60k you get 400kW charging, 112kWh battery, 430+mi EPA range, and insane software / electrical architecture integration etc etc Options seem reasonably priced This feels like a deal…? Why are we excited about R2?

@itskyleconner In NA, jumping from 400V to 800V adds at least ~$4k. Most people don’t have that budget, nor do they road‑trip like you do. You admit this some days and ignore it others. Slower charging is *acceptable* because fast charging costs more and your long trips are edge cases.

So y’all have probably seen the BYD crazy charging claims shown at MFR demos etc I went to a random dealership, found a crashed car, and plugged it in to see what happened More importantly is that the Gen 2 Blade LFP cell that will power every BYD EV is capable of this charging time. This means even the cheapest BYD car will charge just as fast as their top models, and they’ll all reach full in under 10 minutes. 🤯 So, while companies are still launching cars with 10-80% times in the 30 minute range, a little BYD Dolphin will soon do it in around 6 minutes. Go ahead, tell me again how slow charging EVs are acceptable? ⚡️ ⚡️
