get excited about the small stuff. the small stuff is the big stuff. the morning coffee. the workout. the phone call. the meal you cook. these are the bricks. and the bricks become the building. and the building is your life. and if you’re bored laying bricks you’ll be bored living in the building. so get excited about the bricks.

To me, the worst regret isn't failing. It's knowing you never gave it a real shot. If you're going to start a business, quit talking about it at parties and actually start it. If you're going to write the book, stop researching and planning and use some gosh darn ink. If you're going to love someone, pour your soul into them. Be all in. No half measures. Fail spectacularly if you have to, because at least you'll know.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but most things in life are more achievable than we think. If you decide what you want and go after it with full effort and intensity, the world will bend to your will far more easily than you might expect.

"i don't know" is ironically the smartest thing you can say

The greatest trait you can acquire is to work with tremendous intensity on things that matter to you, and more importantly, be strangely unbothered when those things don't work out.

“laid back” is what high agency ppl look like from the outside when they’ve correctly identified which games are worth playing & simply declined the rest.

A hill I’m willing to die on: The fastest way to accelerate your career is to get in environments where your dream life is their reality. Mimicry is fundamentally baked into the psychology of every human being. Rather than trying to fight it, use it. Find the best people you know and spend as much time with them as you can.

give the universe no choice. show up so many times that turning you away becomes exhausting. the universe will test you with silence and you answer with more work. it will test you with failure and you answer with more work. it will test you with days that stack into weeks into months with no sign that anything is coming and you answer the same way you answer everything: with more work.

“Family friendly” should be any society’s litmus test 🇸🇬 Singapore passes this test: - Kids should be able to run around safely - You should be able to put your phone on a table and not worry about it being grabbed - Everyone should treat others with respect This is the type of society I want to live in Maybe I should move to Singapore 😁

every healthy relationship / friendship / family i know has rituals. sunday morning walks, post-dinner games, weekly movie nights, yearly trips. not that the 'activity' itself seems to matter. just that spending quality time together has become a habit.
