Thread: Participating Township Economy "Due to high youth unemployment crises with 63.2% we have no choice but to rely on ourselves as people. We need to fund, strengthen value chain, create access to market for local brands while encouraging community based ownership.

Enough about what went wrong. Let me tell you what we built while nobody was watching. This is @scooterrsa. We turn city streets into moving media and high-performance delivery routes. Fully electric. Built in South Africa. Black-owned. Here is what we can do for your business. 🧵

Yesterday I told you how the @IDCSouthAfrica gave me R0 over 8 years while giving R69.9m to a white-owned competitor. That thread reached hundreds of thousands of people. But the IDC is not the only institution that failed Green Scooter. The DTIC watched. Ministers were informed. Nobody moved. Part 2. 🧵 @the_dtic @IDC_SA @EDAyandaDlodlo @TauParks @PublicProtector @NAFCOCKZN

Mandla Mpangase is the IDC PR Head and prides himself as a champion of youth entrepreneurship and manufacturing. This case ought to be mass reported to mandlam@idc.co.za They might not act on it but they deserve the discomfort that comes with requests for answers.

PLEASE REPOST: I built South Africa's first black-owned electric vehicle company. I have deployed 70+ EVs with Blue Chip Companies, Local SMEs and exported to the UAE. I have invested R9.5 million of my own money over 10 years. The IDC has given me R0. They gave a white-owned competitor R69.9 million. Thread. 🧵 @businessXplain @ParliamentofRSA @sedfa_dsbd @DSBD_SA @the_dtic @IDCSouthAfrica @PublicProtector @NAFCOCKZN

Also, we need Sliqe on more of these lineups. He’s actually doing a lot for the trap community in South Ah.

Adv. Sikhakhane is so serious about being a black man, so intentional about it. I love him.

During the Women For Change march, there were girls in those braam accommodations who look at us from their balconies. Casually dressed in the baggy tops, leggings and bonnets and taking videos of us...many of them were at the fast food restaurants casually eating...ngabona lapho nje ukuthi yah noh, they'd never survive.

I laugh when people say Ama 2k want a rematch with apartheid. One thing about our people? they fought! Not only is this well documented, but you hear it from the stories they tell. Their lives were a struggle to a point that they did not know what pursuing their dreams looks like

What changed this is the Financialisation of the SA economy among other factors. A current example is Shoprite - they have a lot of money, instead of reinvesting into food production, their value chain and food processing they are opening a bank. Guess what skills are required

We used to have Teaching Colleges, Nursing colleges, TVET colleges that worked. Most of these places used to get placements for students in industry. You were working before you even completed your studies. All state funded initiatives guys.

as an artist , there are two things you can do to protect yourself from the AI bubble because these are the things it cannot replicate : build an insanely strong community and invest heavily into your live performances .

Private schools have layers of resources: tutors, coaches, smaller classes, and privilege. Public schools rely on educators carrying the system on their backs — before/after school, weekends, and even holidays. Congratulations to our public school Patriots on the results 🇿🇦👏🏾📚
