I’m confused why Trump doesn’t dump Israel at this point. His base would be happy, so would the international community and the MSM. They’re not buying him like the Gulf Arabs. The only MAGAs who like Israel are the cultists who would go in any direction. What ties him to them?

@PaulineHansonOz So migrants are not considered Australians in your eyes? Do you think migrants don’t pay takes?

Your taxes are helping people who aren’t Australian citizens buy a first home in Australia. Not only are they pushing up home prices for everyone, they’re getting into a home that should have gone to an Australian citizen. Enough is enough. Cut off the benefits, cut migration, ban foreign ownership and start deporting.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang held a phone conversation with Australian PM Anthony Albanese. The current international situation is intertwined with changes and turbulence, and the world economy has been continuously impacted by geopolitical instability, protectionism and other factors. #China is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with #Australia, jointly uphold multilateralism and free trade, inject more impetus into the development of both countries, and provide greater stability to the region and the world. China is ready to import more quality products from Australia, work with Australia to continuously expand and upgrade bilateral trade, and support businesses from both countries in cooperating in line with market rules for win-win outcomes. 🔗fmprc.gov.cn/zyxw/202604/t2…

Australia has fought and bled and died alongside the US in every war and one feckless Trump-deranged Labor government has damaged that relationship - hence Trump's callout today.

@sub0x_ @DarthPutinKGB And you also need to translate the analog signal to digital and back in order for it to be carried over by the fiber. Additionally you need adapters on the drone itself and the transmitting station (both video and telemetry). EZ to see how ignorant and inexperienced you are.

I joined over 40 countries on a call on the Strait of Hormuz as part of Australia’s support for international efforts to reopen the critical waterway. I thank @YvetteCooperMP for convening the meeting with representatives from every continent, and organisations including @IMOHQ.

Australian Special Forces are not the only ones The Australian press is reporting that around 90 members of the Special Air Service Regiment (SAS), Australia’s main special forces unit, were quietly sent to the Middle East about two weeks ago. It is believed the contingent is operating out of Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, on standby in case the war between the US/Israel and Iran escalates further. The government of Anthony Albanese insists that the mission is purely defensive, focused on protecting the approximately 115,000 Australians still in the region. Nobody buys that 90 elite operators were sent just to protect 115,000 civilians. And the story doesn’t stop there. In addition to the special forces, Australia also sent an E-7A Wedgetail surveillance aircraft and AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles to the Emirates. When you start sending air-to-air missiles and an early-warning aircraft that shares data via Link 16 with American forces in the region, it becomes very hard to swallow the “purely defensive” narrative. This is an unofficial entry into the war, no matter how much they deny it. But the Australians are not alone in this. The United Kingdom, despite denying any plans for a ground invasion of Iran, has increased its total contingent in the region to around 1,000 troops. Reports indicate that Royal Marines commandos are being used in several Gulf countries. It’s the same old pattern: official denial followed by discreet action. This is nothing new. A 2023 report already showed that British special forces (SAS and SBS) have secretly operated in at least 19 countries over the past 12 years, including Syria (supporting rebels since 2012), Yemen, Libya, and even Ukraine.
