@DesireandDuty @Dazzle777Razzle @ReservoirJogs One of them that are too scared to leave the house. Funny fact is that a couple of years ago he was arrested during some riots. He wasn't anxious about living the house then. I can't even believe that this things don't get checked when something like this happens.

@Dazzle777Razzle @ReservoirJogs Show me a genuine case where someone with just anxiety, no other conditions, gets enough mobility component of pip to lease a car

Sometimes if you haven't got the full facts its best to keep your mouth shut ! As a carer for my wheelchair(from birth) bound friend who used this scheme. Deposit, monthly payments taken out of pip ,car returned after 3 yrs. Rinse and repeat. Jealousy is an awful trait

Why is a brand new showroom £60,000 Ford Capri available on the taxpayer funded motability scheme? Taking the piss out of hard working taxpayers looks like this 🤡

@DesireandDuty @Dazzle777Razzle @ReservoirJogs I can only guess, but few doors away there is someone able bodied. Never work. I did wonder how someone without a job could afford a brand new 2023 SUV at the time. Then I found out about Motability and everything made sense. My guess is that this guy played the anxiety card.

@PeteLucas19 @Artemisfornow I am not saying we have to slash benefits, I would be happy if the tax threshold was at 16-17k, where it should be, just so we can keep more of our hard earned money. Now you got people on benefits earning same or more than min wage full time jobs.

@subsonic523 @Artemisfornow Don’t you think though that slashing benefits as you want would cause first hardship and second economic contraction because of less demand So kind of false economy It’s big about taxing wealth but stopping the likes of Farage shoving money abroad To avoid tax

@PeteLucas19 @Artemisfornow I dont support tax evasion or avoidance, taxing wealth is not the solution to everything like a lot of people think. It would be great to have some extra money available, but if we just waste it and dont do anything useful with it then we woulg be back to square one. Then what?

@subsonic523 @Artemisfornow It is well known statistically that benefit fraud is very low. Of course it’s wrong and needs to be weirded out. Again, you evade the question as all right wing supporters do of huge tax evasion and avoidance by the super rich That dwarfs , the amount of benefit fraud hugely

@PeteLucas19 @Artemisfornow You talking about REAL disabled people struggling, I am talking about the workshy that have learned how to exaggerate problems to be classed as disabled(so the benefit cap dont apply) when they are absolutely fine. There are tutorials everywhere about how to word a PIP form ffs.

@subsonic523 @Artemisfornow I have worked in social housing and worked with many disabled people in terrible circumstances often Have you done this? Have you qualifications or are you just a grifter spouting bile so the millionaires can have a tax cut?

@Nicmyster @GitGrumpygit @Artemisfornow @barryduffield That is just the monthly payment for the car. Have you added insurance, maintenance, breakdown and possible tyre changes? People on Motability dont pay for any of that, everything is include in the £320 odd/month payment.

@PeteLucas19 @Artemisfornow First ,Let me doubt about the mobility issues, there are thousands gaming the system. Second, it is the same as a PCP agreement, you pay a deposit, then, monthly payments, the difference is that a car on Motability is 300/month, anybody else would be paying £500 or more.

@Artemisfornow So much ignorance about the mobility scheme First of all, the person has to have serious mobility issues to qualify for PIP Then they have to pay a large deposit for a car that is never theirs and returned after three years Stop being horrible and nasty to disable people Cunt

The UK is unique in that 30% of our debt is index linked. So they will try to raise taxes that won't raise revenues. Then they will try and print money - which will blow out inflation and the index linked bonds will punish them more. Then they won't be able to pay NHS wages

@nfay58 @RobertJudd4 @6117CH Probably close to that, my in laws with 4 kids get around £3k/month now that the 2 child cap is lifted. None of the work, and one of the adults is on PIP, so they also get a Motability car to move around worth £300/month.

Benfits are there as an emergency unless you are suffering a major disability, major illness, there is no real test or cut off for those on a lifestyle choice subsidised by hard working tax payers. Actually earning MORE than a hard working relatively low waged tax payer putting in a 40 hour week. This 16 hours cut off must be removed and working MUST always be financially better than languishing on benefits. No one begrudges paying taxes to fund those GENUINE incapable but not those who could work and those who have entered UK but made no contribution to our tax system. Sop this gravy train that already is costing more to UK than UK takes in from tax! #benfits telegraph.co.uk/money/tax/news…

@Annely922 @overlyannoyingx @sophielouisecc You forgot about PIP, the moment someone in the household is classed as "disabled" the cap don't apply. Why you think PIP claims been skyrocketing? My theory is that people play the system to avoid the benefit cap

It’s easy to not see the unfairness of benefits when you are on a large salary - because those on benefits earn less than you. But when - like me, you earn a salary that is less or comparable to people on benefits You see and feel the unfairness - many in the media are not in that position - but I am as are a quarter of all Brits - it’s why I will talk about it more often

@AndreosDeLaMar @stuey_beef Raising minimum wage and not raising tax threshold is stupid, well, not really because they now what they are doing. Tories were the same. Tax threshold should be around £16000 adjusted for inflation. Imagine how much disposable income people would have.

@stuey_beef Hence Labour raising the minimum wage, to help make work pay. The disabled need more than the average person, prescriptions, hospital appointments, help to care for themselves. They have already had cuts, the Tories had them killing themselves. Is that the country you want ?

We now have official research saying welfare pays more than work for around a million people on the right cocktail of benefits, and that up to one in four full‑time workers would be financially better off on the sofa than in a job. Read that again. You can bust a gut 40 hours a week and come out behind the person who stays home on sickness or other top‑ups – before you even count the discounts, concessions, and cheap‑ticket lifestyle that comes with benefit status. Politicians waffle about “making work pay” while presiding over the most vicious insult to working people in living memory: a welfare machine that quietly tells millions they’d be richer if they stopped bothering. They talk about “British values” and “fairness” – but there is nothing fair about a country where going to work is a downgrade and dependence is an upgrade with extras.

Mick Lynch wants a progressive wealth tax, which is a Green Party Policy, with the richest paying the same as everyone else on PAYE, 47%. That would bring in hundred of billions, it is time for the richest to pay what everyone else has been paying their whole lives.
