This is most likely the sapphic night I'm most frequently at to which I can only say there are unfortunately plenty of men at both cis and trans and they only get kicked out if they're a problem. If that's still not enough for you to be in that space, really says more about you.

I do think the response from the organizer was respectful for the most part but I also think many of the responses to Aaron are out of line. There are very few spaces for trans men specifically, especially straight(?) trans men. Not all trans men feel safe hanging around cis men

@weedpoop420 @burnthelilacs i've spoken w friends and i even know a girl who bounces at this specific sapphic night. i come to find out later that all are welcome, and trans men go to this event frequently. knowing that now, it rubs me the wrong way that i was made to feel unwelcome or like an invader

Hey so a trans man shouldnt have to reveal his sex assaigned at birth to get into the event, he was invited point. Blank. period. And if you watch the video she states she and him were left uncomfortable after the whole interactions

@aswordofsoap and she was incredibly wrong for that, obviously. she had her own agenda though, different from the organizers who wanted *everyone* to be included. i hope that person at the door has been removed from future events

@successfulemo Yeah, I watched the whole video. That doesn't actually contradict the points people have been making. The person at the door was the de facto enforcer of who was allowed inside, and they seemed to be specifically trying to bar trans women from entering.

@the_moral_abc i was always treated as queer even from a young age because i have always been gender nonconforming and masculine. people often "mistook" me for a little boy and classmates and teachers/adults would antagonize me. so yes, i was treated as a butch girl for half my life. even at 8.
