@Teachers__Unite What bothers me as well is they want us to do extracurriculars but there’s no budget for them. So for example, if you volunteer you can’t get a supply teacher to cover your class while you’re at an activity.

Here in #onted, I stopped running extracurriculars after the Bill 115 debacle. Until education and educators become a priority again, I will continue to focus on my family, not others. #sked

Ford wants to use the need to build homes as his defense to the Greenbelt scandal. That's fine. He can simply show us the reports he commissioned that show that space necessary to reach the goals. Surely, as the Premier of Ontario he looked into that right?

@munakadri And even if they are evidenced based there needs to be funding for resources, training, etc…we spend so much money on our own resources because we haven’t gotten any or they are not easy to use with combined grades etc., without real guidance to implement new things.

I have no problems with good changes, but they need to be EVIDENCE BASED, thoroughly researched, implemented over time and in a thoughtful way. We lack that in education right now & it’s a big reason teachers are leaving the profession.

1 of the biggest issues in education, that is directly causing the “teacher shortage” is that our workload keeps randomly growing. Someone from a board office or a Ministry office gets an idea & all of a sudden teachers now have hours more work. That needs to stop. #onted

We are at the point where people are no longer guaranteed care in the taxpayer-funded public health system because the corrupt government is using public money to privatize healthcare.
