Built an AI bag-counting system for a manufacturing unit. 100-min video → 5 min to verify. ~98% auto-detected, rest shown as a quick gallery. The real lesson: 100% model accuracy is a trap. Human-in-the-loop is the real product. Stack: MERN + YOLO + Modal (GPU) + Redis pub/sub + RTSP Open to remote freelance work in CV/ML/fullstack 👇 sackeye.duckdns.org/public/job/69d…

My LeetCode streak used to be a wall of green. Today, it’s a graveyard. Looking back at my 2024 stats vs. 2025, the silence on that profile is a sad but necessary realization: I was chasing the dopamine of a "solved" badge while the real world was moving on. When AI started coding, I had to stop being a syntax-memorizer and start being a Founder. I traded the LeetCode grind for: Providing deep, architectural context to AI. Building in modular chunks that actually scale. Obsessing over requirements, not just edge cases. Executing 10x faster by thinking in the bigger picture. It’s a hard truth for developers to swallow, but solving the same 500 problems everyone else has solved won't save you from being replaced. The goal isn't to beat the algorithm at its own game. It’s to use your intelligence and AI collaboratively to solve problems that actually exist. If your streak is green but your portfolio is empty, you might be winning the wrong game. leetcode.com/u/sukritg/

As a newbie freelancer, is it a good idea to approach senior, experienced devs or freelancers and offer to take some of their workload for a small but fair split of the budget?

Thanks for the feedback — I see your point about random cold DMs being low-value.I'm mainly looking for freelance/remote opportunities (or full-time remote). I've been applying targeted on Upwork + company job pages, but getting rejections or silence. I do have a real-world production app already live and used daily by manufacturers — it's not just a portfolio piece.I target companies that match my skills, and I've shared the project publicly (LinkedIn/X) + in some DMs. People say they like it, but it hasn't led to hires yet.On referral programs: any quick way to check if a company has one? (I see many do, but not sure how to discover it without asking directly.)Would love any specific tips on better outreach — e.g., how to frame messages around the production app + potential referral bonus. Appreciate the advice!

Should I stop reaching out to engineers on LinkedIn for work opportunities? Honestly starting to wonder if my approach is completely wrong, or if I’m just not doing it the right way. If you’re an engineer, how do you actually feel when someone drops into your DMs asking about open roles? And if you’re a job seeker, has this actually worked for you lately? Trying to figure out if I need to pivot my strategy.

@jcubic I am DMing for freelance work opportunities or a remote job. I have tried Upwork and sending targeted applications to job postings but failing every time. As for the projects, I have already built a real world application which is in production and being used by manufacturers.

It doesn't make sense to do this. What do you expect from DMing random people? I recommend doing research before you DM someone; search the company to see if they have a referral program. I'm not sure about other countries, but we have those in Poland. If a company hires people that fit your profile, even if not right now, you can DM the person. Share your projects. Show that you're a good fit. They can get money if they recommend you and the company hires you.

3 AM. Chemical plant. One worker skips the respirator. No alarm. No alert. CCTV records it, but does nothing. Mikshi AI turns your cameras into real-time alerts. Safety isn't what you record. 🔗 Book a Demo zurl.co/OGJMZ #mikshiai #PPECompliance

So if you're job hunting, you don't always have to go straight to the recruiter. Find one person inside the company. Have a real conversation. Find common interests, be genuinely curious, not because you need their help. Not everyone will respond and that's okay. But some will. And sometimes that one person is all you need.

I have shared on this space that I got a job with Bloomberg after I got laid off from Meta despite turning down Bloomberg initially. After the lay off, one of the first people I messaged was an engineer at Bloomberg. Someone I'd been casually talking to for about a year. He forwarded my CV to the recruiter. Let me explain how that happened. 🧵
