ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಈ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರೈತರ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಗಣನೀಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಅಜೀಂ ಪ್ರೇಮ್ ಜೀ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದವರು ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಿರಂಗಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇದೇ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೃಹಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯಿಂದ ಶೇ.80 ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ತಾವು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶೇ.37 ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಸಾಲ ಮರುಪಾವತಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಋಣಮುಕ್ತರಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಫಲ ನಾಡಿನ ಜನರ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಭಾವ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ.
