@DylanMarchetti We have a DTS:x house which we will be screening Undertone in with our 50’ wide screen. Far from a PLF but not too shabby and only 10.75 to enjoy it.

@sunraycine True, but there are even fewer of those in the field, and when a theater has Atmos or DTS:X it's almost always in the PLF where availability is locked down 90% of the time by the major studios. Indie films are doing creative things with Atmos, just need a place to play 'em!

It is hard for non-tentpole films to get runs in Dolby Atmos, so this is a great use of the format and now that I have my tickets in the sweet spot dead center of the good Dolby near me I encourage everyone else to reward this behavior.

I wish to add to the euphoric praise for 'Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie', an insanely charming goof of a film. I think I enjoyed it even more as a) I lived on King and Spadina in 2009 and b) I saw 'The Hangover' at the Scotiabank Theatre on opening weekend.

Got close to signing a deal for five screen on San Jose but then pandemic. Spoke to more developers & they either expressed no interest or said we don’t make sense outside of 5Points.

Don’t let politics fool you, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about Downtown. - $2.46 billion in projects currently under construction, with a total pipeline of $6.5 billion. - Downtown’s population grew almost 17% from 2024 and is on pace to reach 10k residents next year. - One third of all Downtown’s residential units have been built in the last five years. An additional 1,200 units are under construction.

A very sad, but extremely fond farewell to the unforgettable Bud Cort, a welcome and magnetic presence in every film lucky enough to have him, not least the co-lead in, arguably, the cult film to rule them all; 1971’s ‘Harold And Maude’. Not only is this beloved film a pitch perfect black comedy-cum-love story for the ages, but Bud Cort delivers one of the greatest looks to camera in film. He was always fun to watch in any part big or small, some other films of his I enjoyed include 'M*A*S*H', ‘Brewster McCloud’, ‘Gas-s-s-s’, ‘Invaders from Mars’, ‘The Chocolate War’, ‘Heat’, ‘Dogma’ and ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’ among many others that I implore you to list below. And if you haven’t seen ‘Harold And Maude’, rectify this tonight. Keep breaking that fourth wall, Bud. We’ll miss you x

@BoldCityBeat Unfortunately we’re starting from further behind than we would be due to decisions of the Curry administration such as demolishing the Landing. We are having to spend tens of millions to replace things that should never have been torn down.

My friends at the Heights Theatre in Minneapolis couldn't spell "Valentine" but the "ICE Not Welcome" sign on the front door was perfect--and so was the audience!

I kind of wish Peter Jackson would look at Sam Raimi doing movies like DRAG ME TO HELL and SEND HELP and go “Oh, that’s right. You can go back home again.”
